I put these in one of the best spots near our deck for sun along with some other solar light products. They turn on slightly sooner than other solar items. And they've usually dimmed a bit after dinner and are basically "off" before bed. I think the charge is lasting something like 4 hours, which is less than other products we're testing. The color is a cool (blueish) white. It took a minute to figure out how to get the top off to turn them on. Took a picture of it separated to hopefully help. I still gave them a 4 because despite the lower run time, the ground stakes are pretty strong and also tall compared to some other items. You press them together and they end up a couple of feet tall overall, and then several inches go down into the ground. I think it might be easier or safer to push the rods into the ground first and then press the lights on top, but I didn't and none of them broke on me. Packaging: No frills cardboard. Value: Under $8 per item seems pretty good for path lights with a good number of LEDs.

I had traditional "round" walkway lights which needed replacement. I loved the look of the Solar Pathway Lights with the elongated bulb and look. I replacement my previous lights and purchased an additional set of 6 of the new lights. They are bright and liked the extra extension pipe that came with the light. For my pathway I did not use the additional extension but for my door stoop, I added the extension piece. Of note: the lights need to be inserted in the ground with great care. They are plastic (my previous lights were metal). I had to take the "light" portion of the unit off the poles to push into the ground. Also it is more critical to install without a tilt. The rectangle shape of the lights "shows" and slant more apparently then round lights. Most important: The lights do not charge well during cloudy rainy days (found out too late). After a rainy day, the lights did not illuminate. My other solar spotlights directed on my house charged perfectly. On the positive side, the lights turn on and off at the proper time at dusk and dawn. So be aware of the charging issue if that is important. I can live with it, but not very happy.

These are made with plastic but the solar lights work as intended. The solar panel is super sensitive to even a light shadow, then would go off as soon as you obstruct the light even slightly. The bulbs are nice and long and light up our walkway perfectly. Of course, they need light for continued use, so won't work if it is raining for days. The spokes are plastic so you need to be careful while installing them on ground level. The height is adjustable, which is also nice. The light to turn them on is inside, you wiggle the solar panel to remove them and turn it on.

These lights are very practical, they are small, you assemble them very easily. They do fell kind of fragile, make sure not to drop them because they will for sure break (nothing worse than any other comparable lights). I set them up on a chain link fence rather than on the ground, I might chance the location later. You need to turn the switch on for the lights to work. The instructions indicate the switch is under the solar panel piece, it is not totally evident where the switch is nor how to reach it. The solar panel piece can be separated from the body of the lamp (that was not clear since that piece comes already assembled). Inside, there is a small translucent silicon/rubber cover which hides/protects the on/off switch. You turn the switch on/off by moving left/right, it is not a push on switch. I took one star out because one of the lamps on the set seem to be defective. After turning them all ON, they all worked nicely when covering the solar panel, however one of them remained ON even when exposed to full light.

Build is plastic, quite efficent light. Simple, solar panel on top, just a long LED bulb. Rather toll but really can be 3 height aby adding extension(s) to a stake. 8 extensions for 4 light but one can install light on different hights. They give more light that most others I had but don't last thru whole night. Room for improvement - switch to select brightness level then battery can last longer. Recommended

These are easy to assemble and came packaged well. To activate, pull top off and slide switch. Put back in. If you have hard soil like I do, use a screwdriver or metal stake to “pre-drill” the hole. Then pound in lightly and add the two sections of poke with the light at top. Pull,off protective cover off of the solar panel. The only issue I have is that the light is a very bright white. Not a slightly warm light. But does the job. I’m gonna get 4 more.

Like with all LEDs, you want to pay attention to the color of light they put out. These are a very bright, cool light, but you wouldn't know that since the listing doesn't give you the kelvin number. You can see in my pictures, these are visible even in daylight (second picture), and much more blue than my other lights (first picture). I like a bright blue light for visibility purposes, like lighting an entry to a home. I don't like it so much for mood lighting, like what you typically use in a garden or fire pit. They're good lights, but they won't line my fire pit.
