Ordered on Sunday. Said delivery for Thursday. Showed up on Tuesday. Was packaged very well. Received undamaged, which is always a concern when something is this big and heavy. But all was well. Easy to assemble, takes some time to do it right. Don't plan on putting it together in 30 mins. Instructions were very well done, didn't take a PHD in engineering to put together. The fan for the heater is a little loud but tolerable. The only flaw I can find in this is the fan. Works as described. Looks good. It is made of wood but it appears to be plywood with a veneer. Not particle board or press board crap... that I could see. Overall are very good product. ... show more

The fireplace arrived on time, undamaged and well packaged in two separate cartons. Be advised both are heavy so it's wise to do the assembly near where you intend to place the finished unit. The wood pieces are sturdy and made of manufactured wood...NOT particleboard. All the necessary hardware is well packaged including the Allen wrench which is the ONLY tool necessary for assembly. I would suggest laying out all the pieces and the hardware near where you intend to place the unit and studying the easy-to-follow instructions prior to starting the assembly. The firebox and heater come fully assembled and only need to be slid into the rear of the assembled fireplace and secured with four wood screws which are also furnished, you will need a drill and screwdriver for this task. Any homeowner can accomplish this assembly in a tad over an hour if they follow the directions and take their time. We are enjoying the warmth and ambience this purchase is now giving us in our basement family room. I would say this is one of our best internet purchases to date. ... show more

The mantle was easy for two of us (elderly females) to put together until inserting firebox. It was too heavy for one to hold into place. The holes did not line up and had to drill new holes to fit. Had to recruit another to drill while we held box up in place. Looks beautiful,cannot wait to use heater this winter. I searched a long time before choosing the Beau, glad I got this one! ... show more

I searched around before deciding on this fireplace. It was much easier to put together then I expected. It only to about hour for my husband and I to put together. It takes the chill off in the morning when sitting and watching the news.
