I am just moving in and have some decorating to do, but couldn’t wait to put this together. It comes in two big boxes. One is EXTRA heavy. I was very impressed at how well this was packaged. No damage at all. Easy to follow instructions. It took me less than 2 hours, by myself, and that included interruptions. I am a 51 year old female and I did it all start to finish. I DO recommend having a second person help set the top mantel piece. It is heavy and bulky. Also- do what the Instructions say. Tighten everything at the very end. Getting the top on took some adjustment. I love the different flame colors to choose from and the timer. It’s still very hot here in Texas, but I am going to watch my fire and pretend it’s Christmas! I haven’t tested the heater just yet. This was just what I needed to make this space cozy. It is the most expensive thing I have ever purchased from Amazon, but well worth it. ... show more

We are so happy with this fireplace! It truly exceeded our expectations and is even more beautiful in person. The rich wood finish and detailing give it such a warm, substantial look, and it has completely changed the feel of our room. There was a scratch on the top piece when it arrived that appeared to have happened during delivery. I was worried we might have to package up and return the entire fireplace, but my husband suggested that I contact the seller and ask if they could simply replace the damaged top piece. I’m so glad I did! They responded very quickly, were wonderful to work with, and sent us a replacement top so we didn’t have to go through the hassle of returning the whole thing. We had the new piece within the week. The customer service was excellent, and the fireplace itself is gorgeous. Things can happen during shipping, but the way a company handles a problem says a lot—and they took care of ours immediately. This electric fireplace is a beautiful addition to our living room. It is a statement piece of furniture and we are so glad we got it! I have seen others that are a more realistic flame, but we still like it very much. It took my husband and I a few hours to assemble. The directions were very good. The only downside: as other reviewers have stated, the holes for installing the firebox, in the last step, are not in the right place. Since I had read the reviews indicating this, I wasn’t surprised and we drilled holes to make it work, it is heavy, not a piece to easily move from room to another. Recommend. ... show more

I’ve wanted a fireplace mantel forever! I researched for a good while before deciding on this beautiful fireplace. I wanted something that was a main focal point, a lot of the other mantels I looked at were very small but this beauty is big, heavy and solid. I love that you have different flame colors, it comes with a remote which is very convenient and very user friendly. It heats our room fast and we have a large living room. I put this together myself and just needed help for my husband put the shelf on (it’s very heavy!) and as other reviewers have said you need to slide the front of the shelf from the front until it slots into place. Eventually we will cut the baseboards so it’s sits more flat to the wall but I was in a hurry to get it put together lol! We get so many compliments when friends visit and ask where we purchased. This electric fireplace is wonderful. It is real wood and that makes all the difference. It was easy to put together and everything is well labeled. Took me about 2 hours and the only piece I needed help with was getting the top on (you have to slide it on from the front and because it is real wood it is heavy). The colors of the flames are fun and the heater works great. One of the pieces came damaged and I had to contact customer service at Real Flame. They were very responsive and had a replacement part out to me within a week. It is rare to find such good customer service these days. You get what you pay for and I’m so happy that I spent a little extra on this. It looks like it came with the house. ... show more
