Works great and as advertised. Simple design but I love that I can pivot the angle of the rectangular light and modify its brightness. The spread of light and illumination level lights two pages without shadow unlike clips-ons that light small portions of a single page and often with shadow. The spotlight on the other end is also helpful and can work independently of the main light or in tandem with it. The device charges easily and holds its charge fairly well. I have noticed no undue warmth from it. It fits comfortably around my neck, is not tight yet does not shift around but stays in place. It has made reading so much better not only at night but in low light situations. I am older and have difficulty at times reading smaller print only because of low light. This device has eliminated that issue. Definitely worth the cost. Would purchase again without hesitation. ... show more

While it's not the most lightweight it is comfortable. I find it great for crocheting and knitting, but the battery only lasts 2-3 hours when fully charged and with only the diffused light on. It does charge reasonably quickly but I hate when I'm in a groove and suddenly can't see my stitches.

When I travel I used this in the airplane for better light reading and sewing. Easy to use and recharge. One size fits all. There are many brightness settings and you can easily toggle between them to get the brightness you need. I always have this in my carry on.

I've only had the light for 1 day and I did try it out. Purchased the light to shine on needlework as I cross stitch. I can adjust the light to shine exactly where I want it. I used it for about an hour and the battery held it's charge. No idea how long the battery will last, but I believe you could be using and charging at the same time. Part 1: After about 6 weeks I could no longer recharge the light. The tiny male end of the charging cord no longer fits into the tiny socket on the light's body. I don't know it there are prongs in the socket that have deformed or if there is crud in the socket that can't be cleared out. Everything I so small that it's hard to tell what's going on inside the female socket. The light is very handy when it's charged, but useless if it can't be recharged. It needs a redesign using more robust components. Part 2: Bought a second one, hoping for better luck. After about three weeks the single light failed, although the broad rectangular light continues to work. The female charging port is very hard to locate - no tactile clues as to its location. I'd ike to buy something similar that is robust, even it it costs a lot more.. I'd recommend buying a light that uses batteries. ... show more
