Your scooter questions answered: I really like this scooter, especially for the price. I understand why some complain, but there are very good reasons why the manufacturer did what they did. Yes the batteries are very old school, and you cannot quickly change them on a ride. But those “quick insert” lithium bike batteries cost $350 to $1000 each. The batteries in this scooter cost less than $20 each (there are 2 of them). Scooter has big tires so I figured it might work on some dirt roads in the desert that the skinny tire scooters would not. But this scooter has no climbing ability so we will see if it works out. This scooter is small enough that it actually fits well in my small van RV where space is precious. Pros • Replacement batteries are very cheap to replace, less than $20 each. • Quality seems very good, time will tell. I WILL keep this review updated. • They claimed up to 40 minutes run time, I got 45 minutes…nice. • Even though the throttle is on only, it is not that bad (not enough power to make much of a difference). • Speed seems very adequate, (but I did not determine how fast the top speed was). • I called the Razor help line twice and got through very quickly and got excellent help. • For a scooter this has fairly large tires making it ride smoother for rougher roads. • Comes with a removable seat so you can use this as a typical scooter or as sort of a small bike. • Easy to assemble, maybe took me 15 minute with no problems. • Holds up to 220 pounds, this will fit most people. Cons • Throttle is on only, it is not variable. • Charge controller is not a smart controller, the light will turn from red to green, making you think it is a smart controller and fully charged, but not so, the lights are meaningless. This will be very confusing to most people. • Slows down horribly at the slightest hill, most hills you will be walking. • The scooter uses old type lead acid batteries which take up to 12 hours to recharge. And they add a lot of weight to the scooter. • You cannot quick change the batteries on a ride so you can go further. But they are easy to change when if they wear out, just like a car battery. • Hard to put air in the rear tire. They provide an extension but it has no threads for a normal pump. Conclusion: For the price they are charging, and the perceived quality, I think this scooter is a definite 5 star item even though I gave it several cons. Just the battery alone for my electric bike costs 2 times the price of this complete scooter. Any questions just ask, I will answer if I can. I will keep this review updated as needed.

This is an excellent scooter! We bought it for our niece on her 13th birthday and she loved it! Of course we tested it out prior to giving it to her since we had to put it together anyways and it worked well. It was funny watching my wife ride it around the block with the neighborhood kids following her. I think she wants one now so we may order another one. This rides at the perfect speed. We were actually surprised how much power it had! It doesn't go crazy fast though so we felt comfortable giving it to our niece. It's just enough to have fun but not worry that someone is going to get hurt. The brakes are good too. It stops well but not terribly fast to that you do not get thrown off the scooter.The seat comes off if you want it to.Its easy to detach. I can tell that this scooter is made of a good quality. It weighs about 70lbs. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and will probably be buying another one soon!

If I can give 4.5 stars that would probably be more appropriate rating for this electric scooter. Bought this for my 11 year old brother in law as a birthday gift and he loved it he rode all around town on it, to the park, to his friends, to the pizza store etc... he loved it the only negative feedback I got from him himself was that at first he was a little scared riding the scooter but as time went on he felt more and more comfortable on it. Battery life is pretty good not amazing but it will do the job description says up to 40 min ride time thats about accurate but I did find that over time the scooter started dying shorter then when he first started riding it which is a concern due to the fact that some other reviewers that state the battery will die out after about 200 charges. Pretty quiet smooth ride twist-grip throttle with speeds up to 15 mph( well not if your a heavier adult like myself 185lbs) there is definitely a difference in speed when he rides it and then when I ride it. The seat is pretty comfortable and I also do like the big rubber tires it helps with stability and helps with a smoother ride. Other than that this is a good value scooter build and quality is very impressive and the ride on this baby is very comfortable and fun for everyone!! plus this makes as a great gift that im sure any kid will LOVE!! ;)

Build Very sturdy. Tires came filled. Built time 30 minutes. The manual didn't make it obvious which direction the seat goes. I looked at a picture online to figure that out. The rest was intuitive. Came with the necessary Allen wrench to connect the steering column. It did not come with a screw driver for installing the seat post. Initial charge time I rode it 1 minute, then charged it while installing the seat. The battery was charged before I figured that out, so it came charged I guess. Ride Experience The throttle needs work. It turns about 20 degrees before it tells the motor to run. After that, you can probably rotate another 5 degrees to feel like it is fully engaged. I can't rotate beyond the 25 degrees or so. It is easy to bump from accelerating to not accelerating which is more like automatic deceleration unless you are going downhill. So if you don't want to go full speed all the time (to conserve power), you have to go full speed 3/4 of the time and for the rest of the time use zero acceleration (which is really deceleration). It results in a very stop-and-go experience. Also, because the acceleration is not variable, it results in a jerk every time. I don't think I can feel confident putting one of my kids on my lap to ride around the block, although I let them stand on it to go around... My last 3/4 mile was super slow. I was assisting it by kicking. I think it is higher than a normal scooter. I ended up hitting my ankle against a nut or the kickstand. I am bleeding now. I don't advise kick-assisting this once it is basically dead. Comfort The seat is not a bike seat and the seat mount is not typical for a bike, so I can't upgrade that component even though it is uncomfortable for me. I am 5 for 3 inches tall, in case that helps you. I have to learn to deal with the seat, stand on a jerky platform, or return it. My wife said she was fine with the seat. But for a seat to work, I expect "This seat is awesome." Anything less and it isn't worth it when you can just stand and go farther by removing the weight of the seat apparatus. Max Speed It goes pretty fast for an inexpensive scooter. I felt like I never reached a top speed going downhill. I reached stop signs before I could feel it stop accelerating downhill. Going uphill, it feels like you don't accelerate. Range I went 4.7 miles. Half the time I weighed 185 with a kid standing on it with me. The hills here are what I would think a flat city would have. Hill Ascension It is gutless on steep hills, even if they are short unless you have momentum. For example, it has trouble going 10 feet on my driveway that raises 1 foot in the first 5 feet. Conclusion This is not what I was hoping for in the medium-high end Razor model. Unless you can't get onto a bike, I'd advise getting a decent $800+ electric bike. It is going to last longer, go farther, be stronger, and transform your travel experiences (and pull larger loads) than this. I never had one, but I've tested one and it could take hills way better. The ride is smoother on a bike, too, due to wheel size and shocks I suppose. Or you can invest $300 in cryptocurrency and buy a motorcycle in a few years...

I got this for my 110 lbs wife to ride to local gym and athletic park. It's a very fast little scooter for her, felt as though it was hitting speed of 18 mph for her body weight and took her by surprise at first. She's only 5'2" so she's already on her toes when seated, so keep that in mind if you are getting this for person under 5 feet, their feet won't reach the ground and it can get dangerously fast. The motor is not too noisy, the chain doesn't rattle like some reviewers had mentioned. The throttle is not adjustable, it's just one fast speed so be prepared for that jolt of power. Really wish the throttle had adjustable power, would like to cruise steady at a slower speed instead of the jerkiness of a one-speed throttle. I myself who weigh 168 lbs found this scooter to be quite a powerful little scooter and perfect for my size (I'm 5'8"). It can pull me up a slight slope but no major hill climbing (only for my petite wife, it can haul her) just doesn't have the power. My wife loves this scooter, prefers electric over her old smokey 2- stroke engine from her teen years. There's no battery monitor so you need to keep track of your usage. It can cruise about 6-8 miles per 12-hour charge depending on your weight. This scooter is so slim and compact that we can lock it next to her car in her carport, plenty of space for her to still get in her car. We bought it for $209 for gray, got a basket $23 and Valet My Stick lock for $20. Small investment for us to go green in our neighborhood, very happy with our purchase.

My grandson loves his "ride"! There were some scrapes on back fender and non-skid decal was scraped. I contacted the company and they offered $25 refund, which was easier than a return; but, be sure to check it out as you take it out of the box. Very stable and solid--my grandson weights about 100 lbs. Charger indicates when fully charged. Kick stand very useful. Easy use--he just got on and took off. Should last a long time at maximum weight 220 lbs. My husband would like one too.

I am a guy who will only purchase something after reading a good review. And I have to admit, the reviews on this were good. The questions / answers that were asked also gave it good marks...but sadly the reviews were good...but in my opinion, the product is sub par in some cases. Here is my breakdown... (seat not used yet so this reflects standing version only and 16 hour charge done which is 4 hours then recommended) Quality: Very high quality, feels heavy and well made. Great construction with strong welds. Feels very sturdy and holds my weight great. I'm 6'00" and 169 lbs. Appearance: Again very good. It's simple. Wheels: Good thick pneumatic wheels. You have to pump them to 12 psi per the warning on the instructions prior to riding it. Driving / Power: This is my major issue and was a concern prior to buying it...but I didn't listen to my instinct and bought it anyways. I live on a 50 acre horse farm with paved and dirt roads. Living in New England there are hills..and this was my major concern. All reviews said this item does good on hills as long as they are not too steep. Sadly this is far from the truth. Our driveway extends about 600 feet from my house to my brothers house. It's a uphill climb for me...not steep by any means of the imagination. It's a long uphill..but not steep. I tested the unit from a dead stop and with a running start. This test was done on a dirt driveway. From a dead stop I made it about 50 feet before it was crawling. I had to utilize it like a "kick" scooter to get it up the hill. Next I tested it from a "running start" using the straight flat area of our driveway. Huge difference. I made it about 250 feet before it was going slow. It should be noted that this NEVER came to a full stop. It just got to the point where it was faster to walk then to ride it. I continued to use my leg to give a push every 50 feet and made it up the driveway no problem. Sadly I'm not looking for a scooter I have to kick to get going. Next test was on a flat paved driveway that turns into a flat dirt driveway. As expected...this scooter excelled in this area. As long as you do NOT start from a dead stop....it does very good. Best to give it a kick or two then jump on. When you do....HOLD ON..it does move but feels very steady. Downhill test.....no reason to even explain it here...it does EVERY BIT of the 15 mph possibly even faster. It got to the point where I started to slow down a little just because i feared if i lost control....i would really get hurt. ***Conclusion*** The proof is in the pudding. Not great at hills (no matter how steep they are) but with a running start, you can do ok. Straightaways that are flat.....AWESOME....worth every penny. Downhill...NOT FOR KIDS...goes way to fast. I am still happy with my purchase. What more would you expect from an electric transportation that is less then $300. I am still happy with it. And hell....if i have to kick a few times going up hill..it gets me exercise!!! Hope this review helps!!

I have had the scooter for a week now. First let me say it is so cute it's beyond words. I got this because I am disabled and last year I lost a leg, which means I can no longer walk. My options were to spend the rest of my life in a wheel chair (sucks big time), or buy a electric scooter. I built a gas powered 3 wheel scooter about 25 years ago, but the stores wont let me drive it in the store. A Raskell scooter costs more than I paid for my Ford Expedition. That ain't going to happen on my Army disability income. The Razor E300s was only a couple hundred bucks. But I didn't know it was going to be soooooo cute. Now the stores have a temper tantrum at 13 miles per hour. So I just ordered a variable speed controller, a 9 tooth motor sprocket and an 80 tooth wheel sprocket from Walmart for around $15. That will reduce my maximum speed to about 8 miles per hour and the the speed controller will let me go from about 2 to 8 mph. Which should not cause such a ruckus in the stores. A 75 year old man in a police uniform with no legs can get away with a lot of things a retarded 6 year old in a crash helmet would never dream of. Did I mention I put trainer wheels on the sides of the rear? That way it don't tip over when I stop, (been there done that). I have motor cycles but I have to make some fiberglass legs to ride them. A fiberglass leg costs about $20 to make, the American Malpractice Association wants $10,000 for each. And I can make a better one that looks and works like real. When I make the legs, I wont need the trainer wheels any more. My gas scooter is wayyyyyyy over powered, Geared down 30 to one it burns rubber on dry pavement and pulls a 30 degree slope without putting a load on the motor, it goes about 15 mph. First time I rode the gas scooter in town was during a 4th of July parade where I lost control and crashed into the fire truck knocking their brand new paint job off the front bumper. Some people get mad over the smallest of things. Next time in town I will be on my new Razor 300, that should make everybody happy?
