  • Great Scooter. Well built and alot of fun!
The scooter is very nice and durable. The large tires go down our dirt driveway and do not get deflected by stones in the road. My son weighs 100lbs and it really goes well with him on it. It even pulls me around without any problem. The battery lasts quite a while just be sure to leave plenty of time to recharge it when it goes flat. This scooter is pretty stable even when going full speed. It does not turn really tight although I think it turns plenty tight for what you would want. The tires take 45psi to fully inflate. The front is easy but the back is a little tricky. You need to slide a cover out of the way and then line up a hole in the sprocket with the tire valve. The scooter comes with a schrader valve extension that you use to go through the hole and connect to the valve stem. Please take my advice here, purchase a quality extension, made from metal, at least 3 or 4 inches long. The plastic one that came with our scooter leaks and is just barely long enough. Our scooter had about 20 psi in each tire. Be careful when inflating because it does not take alot of air to raise the pressure. Go slow and check it often. The brake works on the rear wheel. Upon assembly it was already adjusted well and works good. If you shift your weight to the back of the scooter when stopping it will work even better. The motor is not speed adjustable. When you twist the throttle it turns the motor on and off. You just keep doing that if you want to go slower. No problems there. The scooter will take off from a dead stop on its own but will speed up alot quicker and use less battery if you help it with your foot at first. When coasting the motor does not spin. The rear hub acts like a bicycles. The scooter does tend to slow down when not under power. I don't mind that because you can slow to a stop without using the brake if you think ahead enough. The charger is simple to use. Be sure to line up the groove on the plug in the side of the scooter and you will be all set. The charger has a light that changes from red to green so you know when it is fully charged again. Just a word of caution here........ I don't recommend using the scooter to chase your dogs through the living room, down the hallway and into the master bedroom. It can only end bad. EDIT: My son has been riding the scooter for some time now. Everything has been fine with one exception. There is a small torsion spring on the tension arm for the chain drive. This spring broke 2 weeks in. Speaking with the people at Razor was just a little frustrating. Be sure that you have a pdf of your invoice that you can email to them if you have any issues! After I got them the invoice they shipped the tension arm assembly to me. It is a snap to change. However, this spring seems to be a weak point and the guy at Razor told me that they have been having alot of them break. I was able to find a spring online, unfortunately Amazon does not carry one. So, be sure to have a pdf of your invoice and the number to razors customer service. They tried to send it with a 5-7 day delivery but that was not acceptable to me. I got them to ship it in three days. It only took two. ... show more

  • Get yourself a better charger
The scooter itself is great, but the charger didn't seem to turn off automatically and overcharged the batteries causing them to melt and burst. This was when the scooter was two months old.

  • Bulky, Heavy, Loud, Ugly, Poor Battery Life
Style: Standing Ride (E300) Pattern Name: No Pattern Color: White/Blue
I can't for the life of me understand the positive reviews on this scooter. I guess some people like that it's easy to modify? I'll admit, I didn't do much research other than glancing at the positive reviews; some of this is on me--I just expected better from a brand like Razor. For reasons I do not understand, this thing is about 2 or 3 times as heavy as similar scooters--over 50lbs. Why? The deck is also about twice the width, and the scooter does NOT fold. If you throw your scooters in a car, or carry up the stairs, this is a huge deal. I have no idea why it was designed this way. It's not like this weight gets you a better battery or performance (the battery life, 40 minutes, below average for similar scooters--most of which measure battery life by distance (8-12 miles), not by times. It doesn't help that scooter also charges slower, sometimes requiring 12 hours. The speed (15 MPH) is higher than most children's scooter, but unlike most scooters, there's no safety features to limit the max speed to say 8 or 12MPH. Maybe that's fine for the recommend age (13+) This thing is also just ugly. I don't know what the awkward shape or the huge deck buy anyone (maybe it's easier to have a common part for the seated models? The electronics (a huge switch that won't turn the scooter off automatically like most models), an awkward power cable that has to be aligned perfectly each time you plug it in, all look like they were cobbled together by a high-school engineering student. Compare this to the Segway Ninebot E10 ($299) or the Gotrax Vibe ($250), which are sleek, foldable scooters with Lights, Reflectors, and LED displays, all for much less. I'm assuming it's the chain and the deck assembly that covers it, but this thing is LOUD. It sounds like someone stuck a pencil in a rotating office fan. Again, no idea why. Every other scooter I've owned to date are virtually SILENT. Just strange design choices all around. Finally, it's just lacking in features in this price-range ($350, when I ordered in Fall 2022). Body doesn't fold, no cruise control, no head lights, lights of any kind, or even reflectors, no LED display, no battery indicator, no auto-off, no speed control. I returned this to Amazon, and for $100 less, I'm trying a Gotrax Vibe. It has all the features above, weighs less than half the E300, and hits ~12MPH. The reviews indicate lots of failed devices--but that seems to be the case for all childrens scooters. At least Gotrax customer support seems to resolve the issues. We had a Segway E10 that we loved, but it failed after a year, and Segway had no interest in helping us, even WHILE it was under warrantee. I've been using a Gotrax XR Ultra ($400) myself and it's been running fine for the last 2-3 years. ... show more

  • Scooters nice, all is good but very pissed off at the shipper.
Style: Standing Ride (E300) Pattern Name: No Pattern Color: White/Blue
I hate to say it but Amazon chose the wrong shipper. I also ordered a like model of this on EBay two days after Amazon. And I received my scooter from Amazon just yesterday after an email telling me the shipper said it was refused? Hello! I didn't order it to refuse it! And I have cancer, I'm here 24/7, had the lazy shipper actually tried to deliver Amazon would have beaten EBay as I thought they would...yet on this one item, EBay delivered a week before Amazon and that's after ordering two days later! Amazon, wake up call!!! Get a different shipper, EBay is out classing you by a full week plus two days! ... show more

  • Great little ride
Style: Standing Ride (E300) Pattern Name: No Pattern Color: White/Blue
I bought my E300 about a month ago and use it around my community to go to the mailbox, visit neighbors and just go for a scoot. Assembly was easy and fast. i really enjoy this Razor. The motor is powerful, the ride is fast enough but not too fast. The only disappointment is this... I was expecting a variable speed throttle control which it does not have. It is full on or full off. So you are either going full speed ahead or coasting to a stop. The brake works well, maybe a little too well as it can bring you to a rather abrupt stop. The motor is a bit noisy for an electric motor. Overall a great scooter for $249. ... show more
