  • Great mouse, so far...
Style: Mouse
For being just under $20.00 on the current sale, I believe you cannot find a better mouse than this. I have owned an Imperator, a Black Mamba, and a Copperhead in the past; then vowed never to buy Razer again because all ended up with double clicking issues within less than a year with only casual use. I went with a Mionix Avior Pro, only to end with the same issues within the same time-frame as the Razer mice. I then went with a Logitech G303 Daedalus Apex -- same shilt. Then it hit me: every one of these mice used Omron switches. I then vowed never to buy anything with an Omron switch. Even my dad's cheap TECKNET wireless mouse has outlasted the aforementioned 'pros'. I ended up getting a Redragon M-711 FPS in 2020 because it used an optical switch for clicking, something I had never seen used before in mice. It is still good as new after two years, without any defect or clicking issues. However, I wanted to get a quality compact mouse for my laptop to replace my TECKNET mouse because of its low DPI and its lack of pointer precision. When I saw that this Razer used a good optical sensor and *optical switches*, I knew I had something to fulfill my desire, finally. This mouse is not really 'mini' as another user noted, but is indeed a compact mouse compared to what we could call 'full-size' gaming mice. I like the lightweight drag-free cord. It really works, but causes me to question its durability. When packing the mouse for travel, I will have to take care in wrapping the cord. I like the mock powder-coated matte black plastic exterior, which dominates the majority of its surface. I like the symmetrical, neutral design, which I believe is most versatile for adapting to any mouse-grip style. The mouse comes default with five DPI presets in the center button, maxing out at 6400 DPI. This irritated me because I did not want to install their privacy-violating cloud-based Synapse spyware (read their policy). I wanted to use this mouse at max DPI (8500). So, I installed it without any of their bullshit add-ons, adjusted the DPI presets and then disabled all Razer services in MSConfig as well as set custom filters in my firewalls to block all ins and outs on their for-profit data-mining operation for Google Analytics, et al. I may try uninstalling and deleting all Razer system files and registries and see if my presets still hold--that would be ideal. I hope this review helps you in choosing a good mouse for your needs. Long story short: Stay away from OMRON switches, do look into optical switched mice, screw Google, screw Razer for railroading users into their cloud control system, declare your independence and seek God with all your heart and mind (you'll find Him); and if you don't want to, pray for a new heart and a new mind that does want to -- "And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you." • Small Price, Big Performance Small Price, Big Performance
Style: Mouse
I’ve been using the Razer Viper Mini for quite a while now, and it has honestly surprised me. Even though it’s one of the more affordable models from Razer, it has really held up and performed beyond what I expected for the price. Its lightweight design and precision make it perfect both for gaming and for long working sessions. I did have a small issue with the scroll wheel at one point, but aside from that, the mouse has worked flawlessly. The quality of the switches, the sensor, and the overall ergonomics are excellent for a mouse in this price range. ... show more

  • The Razer Viper Mini took over my desk and now the Ultimate has taken the mini's place.
Style: Mouse
1 year update: After a year it is still my favorite mouse and I have acquired many more mice since then. This includes the G Pro Superlight as well as the Aerox 3 Wireless (Model D minus, M42, XM1r and many more). It is still the mouse I perform the best with. I have a non-aggressive claw grip that I use with it that just simply feels better than with any other mouse. On top of the grip, the quality has not degraded on a single component of the mouse or dock. I still wish the M1 and M2 were had 5g more tension and a tiny bit more feedback when depressed. Also with the optical switches I think it would be cool to be able to adjust an artificial debounce time. I regularly outperform my other mice with this mouse in Valorant with the NP-01, GPX and M42 being distant #2, 3 and 4. The Aerox just came in yesterday so I cannot place it especially until I get aftermarket feet because these suck butts, the shape however is similar and could be very good. The RVU still reigns supreme. Update: About 5 months after owning the Viper Ultimate I have found I play best with it over my whole collection. I initially thought the Mini was better but I am a little less precise with it. Right now I switch between the RVU and the Vaxee Zygen NP 01 fo Valorant (which I play the most) with the mini as my fast mouse for Apex and games like that. With the Viper Ultimate including the dock being 99$ right now for black friday I say jump on it. The mini is 29$! right now which is literally insane. I am having a hard time finding a mouse I play better with. I play shooters, atm Valorant, CSGO, Destiny 2, Apex Legends (not so much after the wraith nerfs), and a little Overwatch here and there. I come from using a g305 and I love that thing. I bought this and was hitting shots I couldn't hit before. It was hard to get used to the grip at first but now I love it. So much so that I bought a Viper Ultimate and I can safely say I like the mini a lot better. My hands are medium sized- 19cm X 9cm and I switch between claw and fingertip. It is super light and the weight distribution is nice. M1,2,3,4 are really good, no play or issues. The cable is very light and flexible and I use it with a Razer bungie v2 and I honestly forget it's wired sometimes. The skates are some of the best stock I have seen. The sensor is super accurate and the resolution error has to be one of the best (I would have to look it up). Do not let the Razer branding or 40$ price fool you, this thing is top notch. Now i wish I could sell my week old 150$ Ultimate because it doesn't beat its 40$ little brother. Trust me, if you are looking for one of the top 3 mice out there. This is one of them. ... show more

  • Amazing mouse for the price but some problems
Style: Mouse
I got this mouse to try out a smaller shape mouse and see how I’d like its shape compared to my g pro wireless- I did. It feels very nice in hand and like I have more control over my aim. Cable was annoying until I tucked the extra behind my desk and now it hasn’t bothered me, it’s a good cable. Overall I’ve enjoyed the mouse but have had some problems. 1. The plastic used for the shell makes the mouse very slippery, especially if u have cold hands. I’m ordering mouse grips 2. It has lod problems (basically the sensor stays activated even after slightly lifted up above mousepad). It isn’t gameplay breaking, but more of a “feel” thing and if u lift up your mouse a lot u will notice . I immediately melt it after the first 2 minutes plugged in, keep in mind I had no idea what lod was and it wasn’t on my mind when unboxing. It did feel pretty bad when gaming for me even tho others say it isnt that bad, so I researched how to fix it and it’s DEFINITELY FIXABLE. One fix that sometimes solves it completely is to download razer synapse and calibrate the mouse. For me, it made it a bit better but was still noticeable, so I also did a tape mod which basically meant I covered half the sensor with electricians tape and IT FIXED COMPLETELY. It now feels the same as my g pro wireless. 3. Middle sensor ring/plastic. There is a plastic ring around the sensor and for some people causes problems with it making contact with the mousepad, which it really shouldn’t. This causes a scratchy feeling. It usually depends on the mousepad but I noticed it after getting a new mousepad so I FIXED IT by sanding down it down which is another popular fix for the mouse. It worked. Some things I LIKED 1. Shape is nice, took some getting used to since I game from a larger mouse. I immediately felt more comfortable and confident in aiming. 2. Rgb is super nice honestly, it’s not overdone and looks super clean with the all black mouse. 3. Side buttons are very nice, crisp and in a good spot. 4. These have really good skates by stock. ... show more

  • (Viper Mini) Not just best budget mouse. Best mouse depending on the aimer.
Style: Mouse
This is my second Viper Mini because I missed the one I gave away. I'm a Skypad XL user. (glass mousepad) I prefer the Viper Mini over my Ultralight 2. I use an aggressive fingertip grip when aiming. I aim similarly to a claw gripper because I curl my fingers when aiming but I don't touch my palm on the rear. Look here these are the mice I own. Zy Rail, G305, FKMINI3, Model O-, MM710, MM720. This mouse and the G303 are the mice I aim best with as of now based on hours of trying mice. The G303 allows me to have more control over lateral movement in fingertip grip.. I know it's strange that I fingertip grip claw grip style mice but that's just what I do. Till Endgame Gear releases a XM1-S (small) or XM1-M (mini) this is going to be one of the mice I pick up the most. The shape is near perfect, the plastic structure is solid and can't be flexed, click latency is the lowest I've ever gotten on any mouse, the sensor isn't perfect but def close enough. If you put tape over the sensor but leave a gap toward the front where the sensor tracks then it will decrease the lift-off distance. Similar to starlight 12 lift-off distance or other top performing mice with 3360 and above. Really this is the only flaw I can feel on the 3359 sensor. Seriously Razer has the lowest latency switches in the game I think.. These optical switches are basically instant.. my lowest click latency time was 20ms which is crazy fast considering I couldn't get lower on any of my other mice... they all averaged around 30-40ms at best or worse around 50ms on average. But for some reason with the Viper Mini I get those 20ms #s which is freaking amazing. So I'm a stickler for good mouse cables.. Kind of spoiled myself using mainly paracords so I will be paracording my Viper Mini as I did with my last one. But I will say this is one of the best cables because it's light but not floppy unlike Zy Rail and cooler master ultralight paracorded mice. Now the PTFE skates are just perfect IMO... They glide wonderfully on my skypad (I will not be replacing till I'm ready) When I do replace them though it will probably be with Tiger Arc V2 skates from lethalgaminggear. Oh, and the scroll wheel is fine. I prefer heavier smooth stepped scroll wheels but I never use them for competitive gaming so it doesn't bother me. Scroll wheels like the Intellimouse Pro, G303, Endgame gear, and Roccat Titan wheel for example. Hope you enjoyed reading. This mouse is a banger! Must buy for enthusiasts and novice shooter players. ... show more

  • A lot of mouse for the price!
Style: Mouse
This is a fantastic mouse for the price. It's lightweight at 61g and feels easy to control as a result. It is a small mouse (as the name suggests) but is definitely comfortable for the size. The pads on the bottom are good, but not the best. They are smooth but if you want a near frictionless feel, then keep this in mind. They felt smoother after a couple of days of use in my experience. The buttons are all located in a comfortable position with little to no pre/post travel on the left/right click and a bit of post travel on the side buttons. The scroll wheel is a little tight but it's useable. The RGB is simple yet adds an extra bit of color to it, which is nice. As with most mice these days, the sensor is great with a maximum polling rate of 1,000 Hz. It is accurate and there really is nothing to complain about here. It has a maximum of 8,500 DPI but honestly, I don't even come close to that high of a DPI. The software for the mouse is nice and the mouse itself has a button to switch DPI on the fly. My biggest gripe about this mouse would be the cord. While it isn't awful, it also doesn't feel wireless. Something to keep in mind. This wasn't bad enough to drop the rating for me though. Highly recommend this mouse for fingertip/claw grip users. Maybe palm grip if you have small enough hands. Keep in mind that the side buttons are only on the left side of the mouse. It does have a symmetric body but really it is mainly meant for right handed users because of the side buttons. ... show more

Came in 2 days, I've trusted Razer products for a long time, and this is no exception. I purchased it with some grip tape, it works very well, the mouse itself has superb build quality and no rattling whatsoever, I bought this after using the original razer viper for a little over a year, and there are almost no downsides if you spend less money with this one, I couldn't tell a difference in the less advanced sensor with the mini compared to the original viper. Pros: PTFE Mouse feet Lightweight - this is great for fps games Ultra high quality build Vibrant RGB lighting (logo and under glow) Lighter than the original viper, but has no drawbacks in terms of build-quality. Small design, great for kids/fingertip users alike. Cons: (None of these are applicable to me, but may be something to think about for some buyers) Since it's so small, I'd only recommend it to fingertip users, the only way to really claw/palm grip this mouse is if you have very small hands (I have fairly large hands) Symmetrical shape, but does not have side buttons on the right side of the mouse, only the left side. Very lightweight (61grams) not a huge downside, but if you're used to a more heavy mouse, (90-150grams) this will take some getting used to. (about 1-2 days of use) I instantly improved with this mouse, the combined light weight design, and great build quality improved my skill. If you can, I'd spend the extra $10 and get it with some grip tape from razer. ... show more

  • Solid small mouse at a great value.
Style: Mouse
I have 18x10CM hands and use claw. The first thing I noticed when I picked this mouse up was the coating. The surface texture of the Razer Viper Mini feels like PBT, grippy and never felt like my hands were slipping during heavy use. The scroll wheel feels nice and easy to use. The RGB is crisp per usual with Razer's aesthetic. The lightweight, use of pure virgin PTFE mouse feet and para cord like cable makes this a great alternative to the Finalmouse Ultralight 2. The implementation of the optical switch and mouse click feels good. The side buttons sits flush outside unlike it's bigger Viper/Ultimate counterpart, are tactile. I never had a problem with actuating the DPI button on top and rarely ever used it besides for memeing. Now the only downsides for this mouse, is the sensor. I had no problems tracking or flick shotting in game but personally, I don't have a problem with a little higher lift off distance but it is something to point out as many other people are not a fan of this. Razer Synapse is still a bloating software and should be avoided if possible. Thankfully, Synapse is not needed, the Razer Viper Mini supports on board memory. So, you're DPI and lighting settings are saved. The Razer Viper Mini is a solid mouse in every checkbox but the only thing holding it back, is the sensor. Now if only Razer released a Razer Viper Mini Ultimate.......... ... show more
