Way to go, Razer! I love these speakers! First, let's talk about the RGB, just to get that out of the way. I love it. It's customizable, it looks great, and it's something that I incorporate into every part of my build whenever possible. Is it worth the extra money compared to the Nommo? That's up to you to decide! Now, let's talk about the size. For what they are, I thought they'd take up more space on my desk than they do. I'm able to fit them onto my already crowded desk with ease, position them to where I want them, and still be able to reach the control knobs, hear them well, etc. They're perfect in my scenario. How do they sound though? Honestly; pretty damn good! I wasn't expecting them to sound as good as I think they do. I'd watched several reviews on YouTube before purchasing, so I knew they had a good sound quality, but it honestly is better than I expected, especially when it comes to the bass. It can be easily adjusted with the bass knob on the base of the right speaker, and it's very boomy when it's turned all the way up. It doesn't drown out the mids or highs though, which come through very well at all volume levels and bass levels. Nice and crisp! These honestly are amazing to me, and I think anyone would be happy with them if they're already thinking about getting them. They're not Sennheiser level of sound quality, but for being made by a company that makes products for gaming, these do well in all scenarios; games, movies and music! ... show more

Quality gaming performance w/ unconventional styling

Almost a year later and I'm finally ready to review these (I got the Nommo Chroma because RGB is life lol). Now I'm definitely no audiophile so your mileage may vary, but I've seen some complaints that these aren't punchy enough in terms of bass, and on their own I would agree. I ended up tuning them with some EQ software (Sonic Studio 3, but you can ostensibly use whatever you prefer) on my Windows 10 set up at home and managed to get a lot more bass than the physical bass dial accomplishes at stock settings on its own. With the dial cranked and those settings tuned it is more than adequate bass for a system that doesn't have a sub. Let's be real, though, where these things really shine (at least for me) is in the mid and high ranges. Dialogue and sound effects are crisp and my gaming experience has improved dramatically with these on hand. The styling is most definitely unique and will fall in the love or hate camp for most people. The design grew on me quickly because I was rather bored with every other rectangle/boxy speaker design that has dominated the speaker market over the years, but that's just me. Overall, their performance especially if you're a somewhat serious gamer (by serious I just mean you like to game a lot) is worth the premium sticker price, plus their strange aesthetic will make a good conversation piece for any non-virtual company you might host 😊 ... show more

Synapse 3 (not 4) for booming bass!

Great speakers with excellent bass, given how compact these are. Out of box with no setup, the bass knob won't blow you away. In fact, you may feel you have just wasted your money but before doing anything drastic you must download Razer Synapse and set the speaker EQ to something like Music, then prepare to turn the bass knob down. These speakers really won't impress until you set them up properly. One small thing to note (which may save you days of troubleshooting), the newest Razer Synapse software is version 4. This version reverts the speaker EQ settings every time you reboot or power off your speakers. Save yourself the headache and just download Razer Synapse 3 to enjoy your booming bass! ... show more

Excellent Speakers for my PS5

I recently made the change from TV to monitor for gaming on my PS5 so I needed some speakers. I saw that these had excellent reviews so I bought them. I usually don't write reviews but I wanted to come here and let PS5 users specifically know that if you want the best quality sound don't plug in the USB port from the speakers into the PS5. Just let it hang, unplugged. I had it plugged in initially and my sound was so low I could barely hear it even with messing with the PS5 audio settings. Maybe this was because I had the USB and the aux plugged in at the same time? Idk, I'm not that tech savvy. Lol. I actually thought that I was going to return them... After messing around a bit with the plug ins, I decided to unplug the USB and only use the aux cord from the speakers plugged into the monitor. This changed everything. The sound quality is excellent. I'm usually running the speakers at like 50% volume or lower and that is more than enough. I play Souls games and Call of Duty and I can hear EVERYTHING. I definitely recommend these speakers to any PS5/console user switching to a monitor setup. Oh and the LED lighting is a sick touch too. ... show more

Good value for the money. Don’t expect greatness if you’re an audiophile

First off - various reviews tank this product on sound quality, etc. These are not the greatest sounding speakers you will have ever heard - but they are of decent quality for the price, and aesthetic. High points: - Looks: looks are subjective but part of the reason I got these is for how they look. They’re interesting pieces on my desk - and the rgb is a nice touch. My units LEDs are not as hard to see as other people say. - Bass heavy: this is a win for me but may be a detractor based on your use case - Loud: these things can put out more than you would expect - I was surprised. Would be decent for a small get together at your house. Low points: - Equalizer: there are presets but no proper equalizer to speak of. Not unheard of at this price point but would be nice to have - Sturdyness: I would take extra care where you place these. The struts that hold the main unit up don’t inspire confidence. If you knocked these off your desk they would almost surely break. Other than that? Be reasonable with expectations. A large part of the price is paying for a brand and aesthetic. The speakers while decent, are not going to blow you away. If you’re expecting these to be Klipsch, Bose, or Sony level you shouldn’t. ... show more

Razor Nommo Chroma Speakers

I had some doubts about these speakers. but I’m a major Razer brand fan. Speaker setup was super simple and easy. The equalizer could use a little more fine tuning but The quality of the speakers are nice and overall listening experience is pleasant. Amazing Speakers

I was able to buy these speakers used for around $70 after taxes and I have to say they’re worth every single penny. I love having Razer products for my PC setup especially RGB stuff and the speakers themselves fit the aesthetic of my setup. Firstly, the speakers are perfectly synced up with the Razer Synapse app on your pc so you can mess around with the sound settings and color of the RGB lights. I haven’t messed around with it too much but it also comes with a bass volume knob and volume control knob so you can manually turn up and down either the volume or bass of the sound it portrays. On top of that, you can click the different sound settings it comes with; default, gaming, music, or movie. They sound amazing. I guess the “downside” would be that they’re pretty big so they take up some room on your desk and they have quite a bit wire but other than that, these are the best computer speakers I’ve ever owned. ... show more
