  • UPDATE: includes well camouflaged charging cable.
Style: Mamba Wireless
5/13/2019 Update: My grandfather told me his boss once said to him "the more old you get, the more stupid you get." His boss was right. It seems that the charging cable is a dual-purpose cable. Just as I was about to return the mouse I discovered this dual-purpose because I ended up having to purchase a new mouse. At least Razer was smart enough to ship the 2 pieces apart from each other in its original packaging. Turns out I received it like the 1st picture and assumed it was a cable for mounting the wireless receiver in close proximity to the mouse (which makes perfect sense) and there should be an additional cable for charging (also logical). What's not logical is I don't generally assume that ends come off cables. It turns out I will keep this one since it does have the cable and return the new one. Turns out that all I had to do was pull the end off and there it is! The special shape that will plug into the mouse. See 2nd picture. If only they had not shipped the 2 pieces plugged together. Yes I checked and there is a little graphic that might indicate this is how it works in the manual but who reads those and it was hard to understand anyway. Oh well lessons learned. I am now upgrading the review to 4 stars. I'm very pleased with the performance and feel of this mouse and would recommend it. What stinks is the Synapse 3 software (nonexistent on the Mac by the way). On the PC, it requires User Account Control for no reason. This wouldn't be a problem if you only had to run the software once in a great while when you want to customize the mouse but you have to have the software running all the time and this problem could even hold your start up on reboot. Synapse also forces you to register and send God knows what to the cloud. Worst of all, in order for some of the features to function it requires the Synapse program to be running. You would think this would be easy and it would just sit in the system tray but several times I have attempted to use some of my customized button assignments and they don't work. I go to the Synapse icon in the tray and I look at it says "connect device"even though it's obviously connected. When the mouse disconnects from Synapse it only works as a pointing device and will perform any customized functions. To get it working again you will have to restart the Synapse software or even reboot the computer to get it to start working again. It's a shame they just can't drop a unneeded feature or 2 and make it so that you can just program the button assignments into the mouse memory and be done with it. If an update were to correct these issues I would give it 5 stars. Original post: Sadly I had to return this item. Apparently this reconditioned one doesn't include a charging cable. Worse yet, Razor makes about 4 or 5 different charging cables, each with its own proprietary shape so you can’t even be sure a third-party replacement will fit if you were to attempt to buy one. A standard micro USB will not work because the charging port aperture is too small. Razor tech-support was completely unwilling to help. They said they don't even have replacements available. If you are able to contact the seller and get a guarantee that you will receive charging cable then by all means proceed and disregard the one star rating. I give the mouse itself at least 4 stars. It could be a little bit more ergonomic for a palm of the hand user and the Synapse software inexplicably requires registration and is cloud-based. But for those reasons I would give it 5 stars. ... show more

  • Garbage
Style: Mamba Wireless
The mouse doesn't work correctly. It double clicks as if i was clicking both buttons at the same time when turned on. Once you've had it on for a minute, the right click doesn't work at all. Lookd online ad it seems to be an issue with the mouse, not the computer or anything else. Really is freaking garbage. Edit: I want to add that this one I reviewed was used/refurbished. I went and bought a brand new one and it works perfectly ... show more

  • Was fantastic while it lasted. Develop double clicking issue after just several months
Style: Mamba Wireless
This is basically the wireless version of the Death Adder which is perfect for my hand. The Death Adder last me 10 years and was still working well by the time I replaced it. This was an upgrade at first. It would've been 5 stars if not for the fact that it develop the double clicking issue so soon. Is it true that Razer quality has gone downhill ? My Death Adder was from 2008-2009. It was fantastic. No wonder why Razer get so much bad rap nowadays. ... show more

  • Solid, gets it done

I have never played with a gaming mouse ever. I've used the same USB optical mouse for like 10 years. LOL i did know gaming mice were so nice until now. I've either gotten real good at games overnight, or things thing seriously improved my accuracy. I love how i can toggle the sensitivity with the little buttons. And its so lightweight, i can snipe like a champ. Its been a lot of fun. ... show more

  • Stopped working properly after 9 months. Disappointed.
Style: Mamba Wireless
For a while, the mouse was fine and I had nothing bad to say. It was comfortable and looked nice. The charge held. Kept up with my gaming and business. What more can you ask? Well, my left-click stopped functioning properly after about ~9 months of use. It would double-click when I didn't want to. It would unclick halfway through a drag + drop. I tried taking the mouse apart and cleaning it, didn't help. A mouse like this shouldn't have a mechanical issue after such a short tenure. I tried to contact Razer support, but their webform (much like the mouse) is not working. Good grief. Update: finally got through to Razer support. After an hour of trying to convince their chat agent this was hardware problem, I was told I’d get a replacement. I received an email from the warranty team about 24 hours later. They asked me to upload a video to Google Drive of the mouse not working as well as a receipt. Although annoying, I did. Another day went by. I was then emailed a list of troubleshooting instructions to take. The same list I had already gone through with the chat agent from the other day. It’s all part of the same support ticket - so I’m not sure why I’m being asked to repeat myself so many times. I just want a replacement for an inexpensive mouse that’s supposed to be under warranty. Every step has felt like pulling teeth. I continue my wait as I change my review to a 1 star. It’s clear that Razer is making this process difficult and time-consuming in the hopes I give up. A friend of mine had a similar experience with Razer Support for a laptop replacement that was took weeks to settle. It’s a shame, really. I don’t mind a defective item from time to time if the manufacturer honors their promises to customers. But this whole run-around is dissuading me from purchasing Razer products in the future. ... show more

  • Great Price Performance and Great Battery Life
Style: Mamba Wireless
EDIT: My initial review was glowing, and rightly so, this mouse has been great so far. I've now had it eight months and haven't had an issue yet. Until now. The left click is unreliable, and can lead to oftentimes frustrating situations where I accidentally activate the left click twice in very quick succession with only one click. It is very random, and is very annoying. Sometimes in games it gets you the extra hit on an enemy before your reticle loses them, other times you skip entire dialogues by accident and lose story elements. In general use, it is very, very annoying. Dragging files is a nightmare, and sometimes you launch them instead and have to exit the program before continuing with what you were doing. So buy with care, because I suspect that the rapid degradation of the left click has something to do with it's modest price. ... show more
