  • The Good, the Bad, and the Great
This gaming keyboard is powered by Razer Chroma RGB and can be customized by downloading the Razer Synapse program and using its tools and features. What I especially like is that the keyboard is colorful and vibrant. The pictures just don’t do justice as this keyboard is super colorful. And if you don’t like how bright it is, you can turn up and down the brightness of the RGB by using FN + F11/F12. There are also some other features with the function key like the pause/break key, and more. There are 2 other FN keys that I don’t use which are F9 and F10. You can research how they work because I never found out what they did. Another great perk of the gaming keyboard is media keys. The media keys allow the option to pause/play songs, go to the previous/next song, and change the volume. This is very helpful as doing that stuff manually is tedious. There are even better things about this keyboard. It has a spill resistant design and is built to last long. The keys on the keyboard in general feel nice and conformable to click and they sound pretty good. The keyboard is also quite quiet when you hit each key. That could either be a good or bad thing. You can decide Another great feature that I find useful on this keyboard is the cable routing. It allows your keyboard setup to look so much cleaner than traditional keyboard. While the keyboard is great and all, there are still some things that feel like they need improvement on. One issue I have with this keyboard is that the keys are not as compact as a traditional keyboard. This is most likely to make the RGB more noticeable, but it makes it hard to type quickly when the keys are more far apart than usual. Some people may say that having more spaced keys is good, but for me, I find it annoying that the keyboard isn’t as compact as what the pictures say. Another thing is that you can’t change the lighting effects without having to go to the Razer Synapse program and doing it manually. While most gaming keyboards allow you to change the RGB effects by using a simple function key, this one doesn’t, which I find just annoying. To make things worse, it seems like the reason why this keyboard can’t switch lighting modes is to advertise the use of the Razer Synapse program, which doesn’t feel right. That’s all I really have to say about this keyboard. ... show more

  • Passed my Year Test, and I use this a lot
Razer does make a good keyboard here. For $60 this was a very reasonable buy. Before buying this keyboard, I spent around $150 wanting to try out a mechanical keyboard, but the experience was awful (see my review on Corsair K70 RGB MK.2). I do a lot of computer stuff. I work on the computer. I game on the computer, and I write and type at 110+ words per minute. Safe to say I am GOOD AT USING A KEYBOARD. This bad boy gets 12+ hours of abuse Every. Single. Day. and is great for everything that I do. After a year of use, the keyboard still feels like it is in very good shape still, so I'm adding my 5-star review to mark this product as world-class. I've taken a photo of it after a year, and here are the flaws that I've noticed, most of which I don't care about. - The keycap paint fades away after some use. See photo. - The backspace key started out a bit squeaky. Seems to have gone away with some use (was worrying at first). - The software is not great. The RGB mixing leaves something to be desired. Software feels bad/unstable in general - but really, run of the mill with modern day software. So long as the keyboard types, it's OK to me. I just use a dull RGB scheme anyway where the keys light up when I type. The backlight also helps me spot dust and hair to remind me to clean it (major plus!). - The volume buttons are a little awkward to click (but the media keys work well enough, and I need my media keys). My last Razer keyboard offered a similar experience, and it took several years WITHOUT cleaning before a couple of buttons started to get stuck (but they still worked! :). Overall very good keyboard for its price. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Great for gaming
Great for gaming or regular everyday use. The lighting effects work well. I have had previous lighted keyboards that put out very little light and keys are still hard to read in a dark room. This keyboard does not suffer from that though. This is perfect. The keys give enough tactile resistance to get a good feel while typing. ... show more

  • I'm Not a PC Gamer, but...
When it comes to keyboards, I like the feel of keys sinking in, the sound of clicking, and a full range of keys with a num-pad included. This fits all those points with the added benefit of syncing with my Razer mouse, allowing customization of keys in certain modes, and being very responsive. All said, I do a lot of work on a keyboard, so I don't tend to game using one. I much prefer the ergonomics of a controller to keyboard and mouse, gives my wrists a break from the hours and hours of typing and computer work I do for a living. Still, not complaints about this one. Just as good as the previous Razer Keyboard I had. ... show more
