OEM part and piece of mind.
There can be issues with aftermarket thermostats so I chose to purchase the original oem part. I figure I can splurge a few extra bucks for the Acura part by doing the labor myself. It was worth the piece of mind. It can be difficult to get the thermostat housing off but there are youtube videos showing how to do it. also it helps to have a set of stubby wrenches as there is not much clearance to get the rear bolt off.

Perfect Fit!
Purchased this OEM thermostat for my 2007 Acura MDX and was a perfect fit! Temperature is stamped on thermostat at 78° Celsius = 172.4° Fahrenheit.

Made in Japan
This is Honda/Acura's genuine part, made by Nippon Thermostat. This is very reliable and would probably last over 150,000 miles. It comes with a new seal, which I usually coat with silicone lube. I only wish this was a bit less expensive.
