I purchased this as a DIY installation. Very good value for the money. I only use it to heat my spa. It's a 1,000 gallon spa, and it takes 4 minutes to raise the temperature 1 degree (about 2.5 hours from 63 degrees to 100 degrees). Worked flawlessly for two years, then stopped working. Not many resources out there for repairs. I like the small profile, it made it easy to install, and repair. I use a cover over it when not being used, and it has kept it from rusting. I also like how it plugs into an outlet, instead of having to wire it to my fuse box. My expectations are that it will last 5-10 years before a major component fails, and then I'll just buy it again.

Heater has been working great on our 15k gallon salt water intex. Only time it failed was the rollover switch. Called a company, got the warrantee info. Company came out and fixed it, went straight through Raypak to get the billing sorted. Great product 1.5 years in. Was able to open the pool in March, and not close until November. The kids love it!

For now, this unit worked great for the time I used it. It replaced a similar heater that I had for many years. Pretty simple to switch out since they were the same. Using it to heat the pool was a mazing. This heater heated our pool so much faster than our last one ever did.

Worked great year 1. Second year, water temp sensor died and it was hard to find someone to repair it. A short time after that repair, rollout switch tripped, again had to search and wait weeks for a repair. Rollout switch tripped again days later, fixed again. Then would not heat more than 24 hours without rollout breaking. Talking to Raypak now about warranty but they are not responsive. So basically this heater worked for one season only. I dont recommend it.

Worked awesome at first. Like another review posted we have had problems with the rollout switch. I believe it might be a motherboard problem, but cant find one to order. Though Raypak is a quality product. I think they missed on this one. I would not recomment

Self installed kept blowing out Flame rollout sensor, did some research, realized I needed to get a flue kit to mitigate high winds. Searched far and wide to find the kit that goes on there. Finally located one with extraordinary shipping fees from a different seller. After installing the kit have not had any problems since. Had this for 2 years now been working perfectly definitely worth the money extended my swimming season at least 60 days.

Perfect heater for my in ground Spa/Jacuzzi. Delivered with care.. it worked as expected. No problem encountered during installation or operation. Heats up my spa from 70 degrees to 90 degrees in about an hour. I have drained the heater and put it in bypass mode for the coming winter season. So far so good.

I really liked how fast it arrived, 4 days earlier than expected. What I didn't like was the warranty information saying that it had to be installed by a licensed installer when all that needs to be done for this heater is to hook up the gas line and plug it in. A monkey can install it so I don't understand the companies reasoning for the install limitations. All I know is that if my warranty isn't covered because I was able to fully install this unit by myself than the company will have a lawsuit on their hands. ***UPDATE***- Have had this unit now for several months and it runs quiet as a mouse and is very efficient, I would say about 90% or above. It heats my 24ft round, 52" deep pool very fast, I usually keep it about 86% and it is very comfortable. I also like the electronic controls, especially the one that can lock the temperature you set it at so none of the kids can change it. The gas line in is 1/2" but I use a 1/2" to 1" going to the gas line. I also put a piece of plexiglass on the pool fence above the heater so no clorinated water splashes in the top of the heater to prevent corrosion of the heater core.
