These are the 'oversized' ray ban aviators, designed for guys like myself with a larger head/face. I think the fit was just right, and they look great based on many compliments I've received on them so far. I would highly reccomend you check these out at a store before you buy them on online, mostly to ensure that the fit is right for you. Ray Ban makes these aviators (3026) which are oversized, and have a slightly softer angle to the bottom of the lens. In contrast the typical aviator you are most used to and see on TV/movies is the 3025, which has a slightly stronger angle, but is also smaller edge to edge (typically 58mm wide opposed to the 62mm on the 3026). In terms of the shape of the lens, it's so subtle that you really can't notice much of the difference, other than it's just designed to 'fit' better (they softened the drop of the lens as otherwise it would be just too large for the larger wider of the 62mm 3026). Regardless they are very similar, but the 4mm difference in width, while appearing inconsequential, is actually a large difference and therefore you should evaulate it for yourself. Overall a great quality product, the G15 lenses are excellent and really do improve my vision - I can see very clearly with these on, without any eye strain in bright outdoor light (crisp/clean optics). I wear contacts every day and these help keep my eyes relaxed while outdoors, therefore reducing the muscle fatigue my eyes are subject to over the course of the day. I definitely reccomend these if you have sensitive eyesight and/or use contact lenses and are looking for great protection from glare/brightness. the biggest thing is that they reduce the brightness while at the same time enhancing the clarity of my vision, which is great. Also note these lenses are glass and not plastic - for what it's worth, in case it wasn't obvious to you at first. Only complaint would be that they only come in two styles, with the gold plated rim or the black - This is fine but I wish they would offer the gunmetal in this frame size, which would have been my preference. You could find the gunmetal in the 3025 oversized, but only with a plastic lens (not the G-15 lens) - so I went with function over style, which is fine. (I did go with the black on black, which is a bit more subtle than the gold rimmed).

So, this is the second pair of Ray Ban glasses I have purchased. I failed to pay attention to the "sizing" portion of the purchase page. That "52mm, 55mm and 62mm" section is no lie. My first purchase defaulted to 55mm, which was way too small; the second time I bought large frames with 62mm lenses and they are PERFECT. Absolutely my fault, which is why I love Amazon.

The Ray Ban sunglasses RB3206 Aviator Large Metal II L2821 Black/G-15XLT sunglasses that I ordered came on time, and well packaged, and in excellent new condition. They were from "Vision123" (That was the return address on the outside of the box), serviced by Amazon. They are the exact same classic Ray Bans that I have used for the past 15 years. Most sunglasses are too tight on my head, but these fit perfect. Don't worry about that post by Yuri where he says they sent him a pair that was too small. I expected that they would, but they didn't. They sent me the right size, so don't worry about that. The Ray Ban sunglasses RB3206 Aviator Large Metal II L2821 Black/G-15XL have not changed a bit, as far as i can tell, compared the the pair (of the exact same model) I have owned and used heavily for the past 15 years. I knew these are authentic Ray Ban, exactly what I was used to, when I took them out of the box put them on my face. I really like theses sunglasses, as my eyes are sensitive to light, and these are about the darkest sunglasses I can find anywhere. They are not mirrored, but I don't think anybody can see your eyes through them, even in bright sunlight. I do believe that these are the darkest lenses that Ray Ban makes. These sunglasses are durable and of very high quality construction, I would probably have had my old pair (of the exact same model) for another 15 years if I hadn't accidentally left them in a taxicab.

I purchased these as a gift for my husband. I did a lot of research on sunglasses in general beforehand because my husband has a large face and it is difficult to find sunglasses that do not pinch or cut into his ears. First let me say I got these at a great price. They were delivered in about a week. The glasses apear to be a really good quality, very light weight but sturdy. Also included was a sunglass case and cleaning cloth. My husband loves these! He says they are the best sunglasses he has ever owned. I would recommend these to anyone with a larger face or frame. These are really great looking and I am very pleased with my purchase.

I got these glasses because I was looking for the large framed ones that would fit my face a little better than the 58mm ones. After receiving them, I compared them to Ray-Bans that I ordered though their website, and a lot of things didn't match up, so I'm not sure what the story behind these glasses are. A lot of things pointed to these glasses not being brand new, like smudges on the lenses and frames, the sticker looked like it was crumpled and hastily pasted on again, hinges being creaky, nose pads not being equally aligned. The box and case look like they've been through the wringer as well. I'm guessing that these were new Ray-Bans at one point but were returned, refurbished, and resold at a lower price. The price is right, and I can use these glasses while I play beach volleyball, unlike any of the other Ray-Bans I own.
