They are just what he wanted because he’s blind, but it gives him some type of activity to do so he loves it, but I have an complaint because whoever delivered it it was raining that day and they left it on my steps that could have been bad. It isn't due to Amazon that I say don't buy through them, but due to the experience. RayBan support is only if you purchase direct through them. Meta support is only if you purchase direct through them. The pricey glasses aren't my first pair, so when they wouldn't sync to install the 10.0 update (the specific error is in the picture), I knew something was wrong. I did all of the trusty troubleshooting options and then contacted Meta support. Because the glasses were not purchased through them (even though it was the Meta store on Amazon) they couldn't offer support beyond typical troubleshooting. I then reached out to RayBan and was given the same response. I even stopped in person at a RayBan store while on vacation, hoping in person would get better results. Ultimately, both companies recommended I return the glasses and buy direct through either Meta or RayBan to get their full support for faulty glasses. ... show more

I like these, and use them, a lot. BUT, if you have need of customer support, forget it. After three days of simply sending me a copy of the help menu, which I had already read and which did not deal with the issue (how to turn off announcing every text message into my ear) they ended by sending me the link to their help page (where I began.) I purchased these as a gift for my 78-year-old mother who is legally blind and can no longer be use readers due to macular degeneration. These glasses are a game changer. They have given her a level of Independence in her living back that she has not had and had struggled with over the past 2 or 3 years. Definitely check out the demos. They can read menus to you. They can describe artwork to you. They can describe the room you're in. If you want to know and can't read what a package's instructions are for cooking, you can ask it to read it to me. This might be my favorite purchase of 2024. Having a POV camera with me at all times is great for my work as a DJ and in many social situations I want to capture for content or just for my own archives. The glasses are stylish and inconspicuous. The sound quality when listening to music or phone notifications is surprisingly high. Almost a shocking level of clarity. I haven’t fully jumped into the smart features beyond the basics like asking the weather etc. but I’m sure my mind will be blown by what these glasses are capable of. At the price point, these provide a lot of value for me and I would consider buying a second pair of these once they release new models hopefully in the coming months. ... show more
