  • Great torch, great value!
Color: Black
Works great for small projects. The flame is strong and consistent, and it’s perfect for things like heat shrinking wire connectors. Easy to use, lights quickly, and feels solid in the hand. Definitely a handy little tool to have around for quick jobs. Very happy with it. Filled It once, dozens and dozens of uses. ... show more

  • Works Like a Charm! Works Like a Charm!
Color: Black
This is my first mini torch so I may be easily amused by it all but, I dig this thing. Perfect for soft welding and I imagine everything on down. Picked up a bottle of the butane pictured below and had no need to use any of the adapters from it or the the ones provided with the torch. Filled effortlessly and fired right up. DON'T THROW AWAY THE FLOW REGULATOR CAP!!!(Pic below) It protects the Fuel Flow Regulator AND restricts Piezo Igniter from igniting. The igniter also serves as a Flame Regulator, Hopefully my pics show this. When lightly pushed while ignited, it intensifies and sharpens the flame in turn creating higher heat. It's light and easy to use. This would be good for someone who needs to soft weld in tight quarters. It seems very sturdy with mostly metal construction, again, yet very light. I got it on a Flash Sale so I couldn't say no at the price. I always add this to a review of a new product; The only thing I don't know is the longevity of this product. Time will tell, but it's very sturdy and as long as the valve stays clear, we're good! Always be sure to use high quality butane and you should be fine. ... show more

  • Dual Flame, Zero Shame—This Torch Lights Up My Rituals
Color: Black
This little beast earned its spot in my gear lineup. Whether I’m caramelizing crème brûlée, sealing paracord ends, or firing up a wood stove in the wild, the RAVS torch delivers clean, consistent flame with zero fuss. The dual flame mode is a game-changer. I can go precision mode for delicate work or crank it up when I need serious heat. The ignition is reliable, the build feels solid, and the refill port hasn’t given me any grief. Just remember: butane is not included—so plan ahead unless you enjoy staring at a very fancy paperweight. I’ve used it in the kitchen, on the patio, and during a camping prep session where it doubled as a firestarter and a conversation piece. It’s compact, powerful, and surprisingly versatile. If you’re building a ritual around fire—be it food, gear, or just lighting candles with flair—this torch earns its flame. ... show more

  • Ravs Butane Torch Ravs Butane Torch
Color: Green
Based on recent item received today: I give this 4stars for now based on packaging and quality of item. 1st: the item was packaged well and received with no damage. 2nd: after closely examining the item it seems like a quality torch. Even though some of the parts are plastic, such as the valve adjustment knob, the upper torch spring knurled knob, not sure what that does, but it will slightly turn which there is a spring between that and the flame nozzle. 3rd: it has a nice metal base and rubber hand grip. Overall quality is nice for the price. After filling the torch with BernzOmatic butane, I let it settle for one minute before striking the flame. It worked first strike and thereafter. Like I said, I give this 4stars only because I haven’t had it long enough to give all 5 star rating. The test will come after long use. For now, I would recommend this item due to its quality and features that are easy to follow and use. It comes with a 2year warranty which is good for me, easy to follow along instructions, product care email address for customer support. ... show more

  • Certainly lasts much longer than other lighters.
Color: Black
No matter which lighter I would use in the past, sooner or later, some part of them always fails. Then I got this one & I used it all winter to light the fire in my woodstove without fail. Its nice to have it on hand & its very durable. The best part is that you don't have to hold down a lever to keep it lit. It shuts off just like any normal sized torch when you turn off the valve & it will burn as long as you need it to as long as you have it sufficiently filled with butane. All the rest are just garbage compared to this one & I really like the sturdy design. I really don't care for all the offered color options. I just need it to work, not sit there looking pretty. So, I ordered mine in basic black & silver because I'm often handling it with dirty hands from building up the fire pile prior to lighting it. ... show more

  • Great torch!
Color: Black
I LOVE this torch. You can switch the little port on the side and make it a tight, focused strong flame, or you can make it a larger, less aggressive, more engulfing flame great for hitting larger areas. I wanna buy another one just because they are so cool, but I have no need for two of them.

  • Finished 1st in a shootout of 4 butane micro torches Finished 1st in a shootout of 4 butane micro torches
Color: Black
MICRO TORCHES REVIEW I was unable to decide on which of the many butane micro torches I should buy from Amazon, and I couldn’t trust the ad claims or flame pictures, so I ended up buying 4 to test then against each other. I have lots of larger torches of various sizes, but I wanted one with the smallest, most focused flame. The pictures in the ads of the flames was not, where pictured at all, was not useful to me or accurate. Price was not a factor for me in this. 1. Blazer ES1000CR Spitfire https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001EDU5NY Made in Japan. This one has very cumbersome controls. Lighting it is a very awkward process requiring two hands and rolling an interlock forward whole pushing down on a button. Lighting it also requires 3 other controls to be in the right positions. The controls also feel rather flimsy. The flame is OK There is very little variation in the flame between minimum and maximum. It does have a button for continuous operation, but again, it feels rather flimsy. It was also the second most expensive at $53. Really the most expensive when you consider all the extras the $56 Dremel comes with. 2. Bernz-O-Matic ST2200T https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000PS9TQI Made in Taiwan. The listing for this product falsely states, in two places, “The product is manufactured in United States”. I did not appreciate the false/out-of-date information. The controls are much less cumbersome than the Blazer. It has a child lockout for the igniter, presumably brought to us courtesy of CPSC. If you don’t have kids and want to get rid of this, it looks like it would be very easy to just snap off a piece of plastic and be done with it. The torch is easy to use. There is not much difference between the minimum and maximum flames. The flame is a bit larger than the Blazer. I wanted the smallest flame, so this was a negative for me. The instructions are printed on the side of the main tube, which is handy. It also includes a soldering iron tip. $32 3. Dremel 2200-01 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MJW07Z0 Made in Taiwan. Includes a decent thin metal box containing lots of accessories. If you don’t already have soldering equipment, this might be the best choice for you. It comes with a detachable stand; all the others come with a fixed base stand. The flame comes out at an upward angle, which all the others have a flame coming out at 90 degrees. This may be a plus or minus for you. This one, like the Bernz-O-Matic, comes with a plastic child lockout that looks like it could be broken off and discarded if you don’t want that feature. This one got second place in the biggest difference between minimum and maximum flames. The maximum flame was the largest of all tested, so if you’re looking for max flame, this is the one for you. At $56, the most expensive, but it comes with a lot more accessories than the others. Both the Dremel and the Bernz-O-Matic could easily be started using one hand, even with the child interlock. The Bernz-O-Matic was probably a bit easier to light with one hand. Both of them featured instant-off flame when you releaser the button, with a lock to engage for continuous flame. 4. RAVS RBT018 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B5RKWNMS?th=1 Made in China. With the first three, you press the igniter button to turn on the gas and light it. The flame stays on only as long as you continue holding down the button (unless you engage the continuous lock). As soon as you release the button (or the continuous lock) the gas is cut off and the flame goes out. Probably more “consumer-safe” for people who don’t really know what they’re doing with a torch. This one is a bit different from the first three, in that it operates more like a typical propane torch. There is a rotary knob that you turn CCW to turn the gas on or CW to turn it off. So you turn the gas on, then press the igniter button to light the gas. You adjust the flame from min to max by using the rotary knob. The flame stays on until you turn the rotary knob fully CW to shut off the gas. So perhaps a bit less “safe” for those who don’t really know how to operate a torch safely. This one also felt a bit heavier and more substantial that the others. Apparently it uses more metal and less plastic. It also had, BY FAR, the most adjustable flame, from less than half what the others could produce (like down to about ¼” flame for some really fine work) to considerably more than their maximum flame. This one was also the cheapest at only $22. It’s also made in China. Normally, I will go to great lengths and spend considerably more to buy USA-made products, with probably Japan second and Taiwan third. However, for MY specific requirements, this Chinese RAVS was the clear choice for me. ... show more

  • Handy kitchen torch — good value with a few small flaws
Color: Black
I picked up the RAVS Butane Torch Lighter, DUAL Flame Mode Cooking Torch for kitchen use and I’m pretty happy with how it performs. It lights quickly and reliably, and the dual-flame modes (single and dual jet) give enough control for broiling, caramelizing, or searing. The refillable butane setup is convenient and the torch feels sturdy in hand. My only minor gripe: the fuel reservoir is a bit small — so I find myself refilling more often than I’d like if I’m using it a lot. Also, while the flame adjustment works fine, the built-in safety lock can be a little finicky when adjusting flame strength. Overall: a useful, affordable torch for home cooking, baking, or light DIY — just don’t expect professional-grade performance. ... show more
