  • Great solder but Ts101 is better
"I have to admit, I've tried the M18 T12 soldering station and this M12. While the M12 is definitely worth having in your toolbox, I find using the USB that came with the TS101 and a small Anker power station heats it up super fast with temperature control. I have all three, and I would definitely keep the M12 as it heats up quickly and is useful on the go. However, the TS101 is a must-have, especially when using the flexible and lightweight USB cable that came with it. With this setup, it's super easy to control and can run at 21-20V using a small Anker 100w power station. ... show more

  • Super nice for a quick repairs.
I use this on my boat, equipment, and trucks all the time for quick repairs and to add thing’s. This with a battery operated heat gun can fix anything. It works really good. The temperature gets very hot. The size of it is really nice in your hand and the price is good.

  • Couldn't ask for anything better
Is exactly what I was looking for something that won't be a hassle to use and is easy to keep at the same temperature I tried others wired butane they all had a flaw the wire was stuck to the wall the butane always ran out of fluid before the job was done but this one not this one it was perfect for me and also that fact that I'm a milwuakee fan and user is a plus ... show more

  • Fast, hot, convenient.
Have used cordless soldering irons for years, and this is the best ever, by far. Nice in small spaces, on top ladders, out on the garden ligths. This one lasts longer (even with the smaller of the 12V re-chargeable batteries). It has 4 lights to show level of remaining battery charge, green light blinks while heating, and goes steady when ready, and after using, a red light to tell you while it's still too hot to touch. Angled head, light on your work that actually points where the tip is. Replaceable tip, large enough in diameter, it doesn't lose heat on large wire! All well thought out. Typical Milwaukee, well worth the money. ... show more

  • Nimble and mobile
Read other reviews which said that it does best on thinner gauge jobs - that’s very true. No go on soldering two 14ga wires together. Like just can’t do it. As the gauge gets higher, it works better. 16 is still tough. Sweet spot is certainly 18 or smaller (numerically higher). Being able to take it to the job (in the dash, under the car, etc) is awesome and it hears up quickly. Other than the gauge limitation, it’s awesome. ... show more

  • Great product
Heats up quickly, good control. Easy on the hand to operate. Have used quite a bit over the last two months. Like the “hot” warning light that lets you know the tip (iron) is still hot. Very happy with this Milwaukee product.
