  • Great bike
GOOD NEWS: I really like the bike, tons of pedestrians and even strangers driving by have yelled out to me how great it looks. It does look cool and unique with the fat tires and its overall design. The display works great too, it tells your speed, mileage, trip, how much power you are using right now, how much is left. And it has 5 power levels/speeds. If its in any speed other than 0, the power will be engaged if you start pedaling or if you turn the handle bar throttle. Man, LOTS OF POWER, no problems there. The brakes work great too, see below for more on the brakes. THE NOT SO GOOD: 1. Nothing is perfect, after a month the kick stand fell off somewhere while riding, so now i have no kick stand, i have to lean the bike up against a wall when ever i park it. 2. Like all eBikes, not just this one specifically, they can be dangerous. Because they has so much power, to operate it safely you have to always know what state the bike is in at ALL TIMES (even when your not riding it can fly off into something, the bike flew into me one time), and remember to put it back to gear 0 all the time so that you dont accidentally propel yourself into traffic. If you make a mistake and forget whats state the bike is in, you can easily get launched into traffic at a very high speed. When i first got the bike I was launched into traffic many times and literally thought i was going to die many times. This one incident i was convinced i was gonna die, i was heading straight for a car under full power, startled and fighting to keep the bike under control at full blast, at the last second i came to my senses and i hit the brakes, and to my surprise the damm thing stopped perfectly like a soldier on a dime (right in front of the car). So the brakes worked perfectly I can vouge for that. Once you get used to the whole eBike thing its great! ... show more

  • It's Fun to Ride a Bike Again!
We purchased two eBikes to store in our RV to take camping. They fold in half so we will probably carry one inside and one on the back with our scooter cycle. Primary use will be riding around the RV parks and trails. The order shipped quickly and was well packed and easy to assemble. We used to ride our mountain bikes but honestly, at 65 I'd rather not work that hard pedaling. On our first test drive we were hooked and couldn't stop laughing at how much fun riding a bike could be again. There are hills everywhere around us and coasting down one hill just means struggling up the next. This bike 'levels out' the hills making every mile a comfortable pedaling experience. You glide up hills with the same effort as level terrain like you're on a rail trail. It just made us want to ride more. The gears and level of assist allow you to select the level of effort required to get around. You are still exercising but not to the point of exhaustion to travel any significant distance. I would recommend learning to ride in a parking lot until you feel comfortable with the acceleration, weight and maneuvering of the bike. It seems solid and well made, hopefully it holds up to use. The 750 W seems to be more than enough for my wife who is 120 pounds. The handle bars are a bit high and would benefit shorter people if they could be lowered more. ... show more

  • Reliable, Durable, great Fun
This is a solid, well made bike. Battery stays charged longer than expected. The display unit is not the one in the manual, but found operating instructions online----and they are necessary for setting peddle assist levels---and the unit is better than the one described in the manual. The downside of it's being so solid is that it's heavy when lisring into a vehicle. However, removing the seat and battery makes it considerably lighter and much easier to lift. The optional cargo basket is very solid, and does add some weight, but it's really cool looking. If you plan to fold to haul in a vehicle, be certain to lay it on left side with derailleur facing up....so chain doesn't slip off. I'm loving this bike! ... show more

  • Decent bike, slippery service
OK, so I’ve had this bike now for a little over a year. One day, about eight months after purchase, it just stopped working. The display would come on and would indicate all is well, but none of the pedal assist would work at all. Neither would the throttle. Fortunately, there was a number that I could call for Service. After quite a bit of back-and-forth, numerous requests from them for videos and pictures, they sent replacement parts (some of which weren’t even for this bike) all with no success. More videos and more pictures and all they wanted to do was send more parts. Somewhere the same parts that they had already sent once and didn’t work. so, I did a little more hunting and found that they actually have a brick and mortar repair facility near San Bernardino California (outside LA). So I drove 150 miles from San Diego to San Bernardino to have them fix it. I was prepared to leave it. They said “no, we can fix it while you wait! “I thought “Great! These guys are going to get five stars from me for excellent service!” 45 minutes later, they said they replaced the controller and fixed the bike and had me do a test ride. The bike worked, and I was on my way. Fast-forward the clock a little while longer, and I’m out riding and noticed that the sleeve around the wire bundle that comes up from the controller had slipped down a little bit. I look a little closer, and I noticed that one of the connectors had pulled loose. Turns out it was the right brake light. When you squeeze the handle, the tail light brightens a bit. I plugged the connector back in. Wouldn’t you know it, the bike was behaving exactly as it was before I brought it in for Service. When I was doing all of the diagnostics, I did notice that the brake light wasn’t working either. I didn’t notice it when I did the test ride because I was focused on the fact that the bike was even working at all. That was my bad. So all I can figure is that Service didn’t actually replace the controller as they claimed, they simply unplugged the brake light and everything was working properly so they carefully hit it with cable wraps and the sleeve and hope I wouldn’t notice. Well, eventually I did notice. And I’m here to warn you that if you buy this bike and you need any kind of service be prepared for a great deal of hassle and probably a sleazy mechanic technique to get you on your way. Had I not had any trouble with his bike, I probably would have given it five stars. Structurally it is a great bike with lots of power. But an e-bike, by definition, is powered by electronics. Electronics can fail. And when they do, you need to be able to rely on good service. Not sure that’s an option with this bike. Caveat emptor. ... show more
