Wore these socks for the first time hiking through a creek pretty much for 10 miles (5 in one day and 5 out the next day). It was summer so I wasn't wearing them for warmth. They did fill with water after so much time in the water but it wasn't uncomfortable. And, they were pretty easy to get on and off to drain the water. I paired them with an old pair of running shoes for the hike (knowing the water would damage the shoes and they would need to be thrown away). I have low blood pressure so my legs get tired hiking or walking. To offset this, I wear compression socks, which really make a difference. I just wore these hiking and my legs were not tired (beyond hiking 10 miles!) so these were sufficiently tight enough to act as compression socks.

I wore these for a three day Survivor challenge in Bangor Maine. After an entire day and night of torrential rain and a flood warning, and the following day of trekking through mud, I was the only one with dry feet at the end of the trip. They are very breathable and I kept them at knee length for nearly the entire trip which was great against bugs and tall grass. For best results, coat your feet in some Gold Bond before putting them on and MAKE SURE you are also wearing water-proof shoes. I recommend Nike’s Gore-Tex water proof trail running sneakers.

Have used these socks extensively for fishing. Wear them in my ankle and mid calf high fishing boots. 100% waterproof and definitely won’t disappoint. Keep my feet dry and comfortable all day. Have bought five pair of different socks from Randy Sun and will probably buy more over time. Would definitely recommend.

They're not kidding when they say these things are waterproof. It's absolute wizardry. I can wear these with a pair of sandals and walk to class in the snow and my feet stay perfectly warm and dry. They take a hot minute to get on and off and have a wetsuit-ish feel to them, but that isn't surprising and doesn't bother me considering that's probably how the waterproofing works.

16 mile out-and-back backpacking trip in NM for Thanksgiving. 18 calf-deep river crossings in 30 degree temps. First half of the trip, my feet were nice and dry. 2nd half, not so much. One sock leaked so my left foot was frozen by the time we got to the trailhead. Bummer. If they both had worked, I would have been a happy camper - literally. Keep in mind that these don't keep your feet WARM - just dry - so you'll need to wear some nice thick wool socks underneath if temps are going to be an issue. Also keep that in mind when ordering your size. The socks were comfortable and the compression was nice. Height was great - right up to below my knee (I'm 5'7") I wear a women's 9 in athletic shoes and I have average sized calves. I purchased a small and the fit was perfect, even with thick socks.
