Description

The MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.7 15-Inch (Late 2016 Retina Display, Touch Bar, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports) features a 14 nm, 6th Generation "Skylake" 2.7 GHz Intel "Core i7" processor (6820HQ), with four independent processor "cores" on a single silicon chip, an 8 MB shared level 3 cache, 16 GB of onboard 2133 MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM (which cannot be upgraded), 1 TB of PCIe-based flash storage, and dual graphics processors -- an AMD Radeon Pro 455 with 2 GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory and an integrated Intel HD Graphics 530 graphics processor that shares memory with the system. This notebook also has an integrated 720p FaceTime HD webcam, a thin, backlit "second generation" butterfly mechanism keyboard with an integrated new "Touch Bar" that replaces the traditional function keys with a touch-sensitive control that adapts for different applications and provides Touch ID login support, and a gigantic "Force Touch" trackpad. Additionally, it has a high-resolution LED-backlit 15.4" widescreen 2880x1800 (220 ppi, 500 nits) "Retina" display, and a integrated battery that provides an Apple estimated 10 hours of runtime. This notebook is offered in either silver colored aluminum or a darker "Space Gray" colored aluminum housing (but not other colors) and weighs just a bit more than 4 pounds (1.83 kg). Connectivity includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, four "Thunderbolt 3" ports (USB-C connector), and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Compared to its predecessor, this model has a completely different external housing that is thinner, is available in another color option, and has the aforementioned "Touch Bar" in addition to a larger trackpad, but swaps a variety of ports for just four Thunderbolt 3 ports and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Internally, it has a more advanced processor and architecture, as well as a more advanced graphics processor and better speakers, but reduced battery life.

  • Perfect Condition - So far
Capacity: 512GB
I've been using Macs exclusively since 2001, and this is the first time I've purchased one that wasn't brand new. I was on a bit of a budget after my previous macbook pro was stolen, so I opted for a renewed Macbook Pro, because my laptop doesn't really get the same amount of use as my Mac Studio, I just use it to play around on. I read through the reviews, and the purchase seemed a little sketchy, however, I decided to buy it because the good reviews definitely outweighed the bad, and should anything go wrong, there's a somewhat generous return policy. My experience so far: The laptop was carefully packed, and included the correct charger (off brand, but I don't care about that). It booted up immediately and had the most recent version of Monterey installed. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it looked and how responsive it was - I mean, the computer is 6+ years old, I was expecting a beater. There are zero signs of wear anywhere, no scratches, no dings. The screen is bright and vibrant, the control bar works perfect. The keyboard doesn't feel quite as sturdy as my old macbook, but it's not enough to deter me from using it or make me want to leave a bad review. The battery charged to 100% in about an hour and seems to hold a charge very well. All in all, this gets 5-stars because it's worth every penny. It's a $700 Macbook pro that runs as-well-as any new mac. I know this because my wife has a 2022 Macbook Pro M1, we have a 2022 M1 Mac Mini, and my office computer is a 2022 Mac Studio. This laptop keeps up with all of them for regular use. ... show more

  • TOTAL SCAM!! DO NOT BUY!!
Capacity: 512GB
DO NOT BUY! Computer’s battery was horrible and the Touch Bar didn’t always work. Returned the computer and the Seller claims I installed locking software and they will not refund my money. ALSO, they did not reply to my questions about my refund status until Amazon contacted them. GO ANYWHERE EXCEPT HERE TO BUY! ... show more

Capacity: 512GB
This Mac is amazing, it came before the posted time, came with OS, oh my God is fast, all buttons work, no scratch neither on top or screen, the software updated, and so far this is a keeper for a long time. The battery Is optimal. I don't see any flaw. I am a computer technician and I have gotten inside out the laptop. I recommend it one hundred percent. You can pay with the fingerprint scanner like picture shown above. ... show more

  • So Far So Good
Capacity: 256GB
I knew that purchasing a "renewed" device would be a gamble. The purchase reviews were not necessarily confidence-boosting; however, they weren't overly off-putting, either. Suffice it to say that, for a machine produced in 2016, the purchase has been well worth it. There aren't any real physical blemishes. The laptop works just fine. The only significant issue is with the keyboard, in that several of the keys do stick, or they require extra touch pressure to work. Several of the keys have either dimly lit or overly bright backlighting. Nevertheless, these things are not deal-breakers for me. The device is not new. I am currently deployed overseas, and the company did ship to my APO. I received my laptop only two days ago. Perhaps, I will return to this review in a few weeks to provide an update. ... show more

  • Faulty. Lies. False advertising
Capacity: 256GB
100% absolute garbage. They claim everything is in working order in the description but with every attempt to recover the computer, no command prompts work to reboot it. Nothing. Save your money and buy one new or in person. I’ve never been so disappointed in my life. The screen and keyboard has a weird white powder on it and it has dings and scratches on the perimeter of the case. Absolute let down. ... show more

  • 2016 not a good release year
Capacity: 256GB
UPDATE 3 - Glad I purchased the Asurion coverage. They made the process easy by sending me the materials to ship with & included instructions. Fixed the issues faster than the estimated time frame. Good experience. UPDATE 2 - A little over a year later & I want to toss it out a 10-story window. Looked at so many renewed MacBook Pros that I must've purchased the wrong one. Didn't intend to buy a 2016. Run the UPC number from the product description through Apple's site for the release year. Laptop hit the floor while open & keys got damaged, as in at least one key is stuck in the down position. Not sure the insurance will cover it because there's a known issue with the keys from 2016. Screen & outer casing survived the fall. Battery is progressively draining faster between charges so I suspect it's still the original or a used one was installed. Bargain price but aggravating. UPDATE 1 - Had it a little over a month & one of the key caps broke. Doesn't look like a big deal to replace them. Just don't be surprised if you have the same issue. Screen was dirty. Used electronic wipes to clean every surface & keyboard brush to dust. Recommend the seller check cleanliness prior to shipping. I'm guessing a key had to be replaced because it's an odd one & not the U.S. format. It's the key to the left of the Return which should be a double & single quote. This one has a semicolon & comma. It's not a big deal because I type properly (no hunt & peck) & pressing that key generates the characters it needs to. ... show more
