My son is back in school and spends his spare time working on his pair of Honda CR-Zs. We got him an expensive borescope for Christmas, which he loves, but he said sometimes you don’t want to drag out the full kit just to check one spot. This one fit that role perfectly. The slim probe snakes into tight spaces like plug holes, and the 210-degree articulation lets him peek around corners without pulling things apart. The LED lights are bright enough for engine bay work, and plugging straight into a phone makes setup quick - especially if you're on the road (he's 22...I don't ask why). For simple “take a look” jobs it is a lot faster than hauling out the full professional kit and he leaves it in the car without fear of it frying the sensitive screen. The build is lightweight and the snake tube only runs a little over three feet, so it is not meant for deep inspections. Image quality is good but not on par with high-end scopes. Still, for the price it is a useful second tool that saves time and hassle.

I've owned and used several borescopes and appreciate the simplicity and quality of this unit! The articulation is responsive with two-way 210 degree control as described. Image quality is excellent and it's easy to navigate with a clear resolution (see last three images taken on the borescope). True, it doesn't come with a screen but that's a design decision and part of the reason why it isn't over $100. Given that we all have smart phones, it's more affordable to purchase this and connect it to your phone. It supports both iPhones and Android phones, and provides both a USB-C and a lightening cable (for older iphones) for both platforms. I tested it on an Android and the app works just fine. The app did initially ask for more permissions that necessary to run the borescope, but I declined some of those such as access to location and it worked just fine without them. Unlike some other products that insist on having unrelated permissions to function, feel free to reject those permission requests during your initial use. It's a bit annoying though to see those permission requests. The product is easy to control and takes quality images. You can control the brightness of the camera light as well as take pictures or start/stop video taping using two buttons on the device. Additional controls are on the app, which isn't too bad. However, I feel it'd be easier to rotate the image on screen, among others, with a physical button. Overall, quality product and good value!

This is a review for the Ralcam Two-Way 210° Articulating Borescope for iPhone and Android, 6.2mm Slim Probe USB-C Flexible Endoscope Camera with Light for Engine, Pipe & HVAC Inspection 23 Sept 2025 I should have read the product description properly because I though that this device came with it's own built in display but it doesn't. I am not going to use my $600 smart phone out on a job site. I will have to keep looking for a borescope which has it's own built in display.

Honestly, there's not much "good" about this product other than "it works". First, let me discuss the app (note: used the Android app). The QR code you scan takes you to a REALLY sketchy web site. I recommend just looking for "SNAKCAM" on Play Store. But, then you'll see my biggest issue with this app: why do I have to grant location and network services for a tool plugged into my phone? Seems even more sketchy. Now, the device itself. The tip does articulate...in one plane. Seriously, who designed THAT? Now, look at the images? Notice how poor the resolution is? How yellow the images are? Yep, no way to change that. So...yeah, it works, but I can't recommend it.

The media could not be loaded. The camera is excellent out of water. It does get a bit unfocused I feel in the water but for the price vs. my independent 100' scope, I think it's pretty great just for the convenience. I can definitely tell there is something in my kitchen sink pipes and where it is even if I can't tell exactly what it is. There may be a learning curve to operating it too though. My drain isn't stopped up right now to be clear, I just wanted to actually test the camera. Also, the fact that it hooks to your phone vs. having to connect the independent camera to the computer and download videos, is a huge time saver. I can instantly share my issues to my Dad to tell me what's wrong. 😂 The app was super easy to download. You scan a QR code that's taped on the device and push a button to go directly to Google Play so you know you aren't downloading the wrong thing. I think this will be great for around the house repairs and working on the cars. Overall, I think this works well and is built well for the price.

This borescope is very convenient, especially for its ability to plug directly into a cell phone via the included USB-C cable. It's powered by the phone, which makes it easy to use and a truly portable tool. The two way articulating probe is a great feature; the control knob provides good control, and while the cable could be a bit stiffer for some applications, it allows for smooth navigation in tight spaces. The downloadable application is straightforward and works well for viewing and recording footage. The unit is also fairly compact, making it easy to transport. This is a very useful tool for quick inspections, though it should be noted that it does not come with a case, though the box has compartments for storage.

The Ralcam articulating borescope makes it possible to see into places you normally cannot. The slim 6.2mm probe fits easily into engine spaces and tight pipes. The two-way articulation bends smoothly and the light at the tip gives a clear view without washing everything out. I used it with an Android phone and the USB-C connection held steady. It does take a little practice to steer the head exactly where you want it, but once you get the feel, it shows details you would miss otherwise. For home repairs or car work, it saves guesswork and that alone makes it worth keeping in the toolbox.
