A very simple and easy to use watering system. What’s good. Simple design with two buttons to control everything. No need for batteries as the solar panel charges the system quickly. Cons. The base is all plastic and could degrade over time in the sun. There are only 6 watering options. Once every 24 hours for 1, 5 or 10 minutes. Or once every 72 hours. For 1, 5 or 15 minutes. Overall, a very good system for maintaining a watering routine. I have found that the pump is capable of supplying water from a large source. I set up the system and placed a container that was 32 inches deep under and in one minute the system pumped 250ml of water. I the raised the pump up to 62 inches and it was still able to pump 250ml in one minute. ... show more

Overall this is a great product! took about 20 minutes to set up my 4 hanging baskets system with no issues. Fittings are easy to connect and tubing doesn't kink. I don't get a lot of light where I have the solar panel placed but I have not had any issues with the pump not delivering enough water.

I like the item of its renewable energy - saves me money on electricity and the environment. Not just that, but it gives me a sense of relief when I am on vacation or forgot to water the plants for a day or 2 or 3. Those are a plus in my book. The downside is that it does not give you more options for a longer period of time in watering daily - it only has 1, 5, and 10 minutes. Was hoping to have longer daily watering cycle, such as 20 or 30 minutes. That would suffice for my case, but everybody has different usage. Besides that, the item is pretty good. I use a home depot 5-gallon bucket and have the garden hose drip in the bucket at a perfect rate that it never gets empty or even close to that nor does it overflows. It works and has pretty much the same internal components as the others, but has less features as the others you can find. The biggest is the timer. It has fewer watering choices. The pump seems a bit weaker than the others I've used as well.
