This stuff is pretty rigid, so it should last long and won’t be weakened by the temp extremes. I took a star off for two things - because it’s so rigid, the line will really want to stay curled. You have to work it a bit to make it go straighter. The other reason, again, because it’s so rigid, you will have a very tough time trying to get these slipped onto any nozzles and barbed end pieces…practically impossible. I'd previously used a more flexible rubber tubing for a drip system, and when I felt this, I expected it to be a hassle to install. I was WRONG. The price was right for 100 feet of tubing. The tubing is extremely difficult to work with. It is so rigid that I cannot push drippers into it like I normally do with other irrigation tubing. Even in 100+ degree Phoenix heat the tubing was not supple enough to work with. To get around this issue I had to "heat up" the end of the tubing with a flame. Using a goose neck, hand held lighter that had a forced air flame, I was able to soften the tubing enough to get the irrigation dripper to fit on. Just be careful not to melt the tubing. This tubing is functionally fine, but it is less flexible than my previous roll (brand unknown.) As a consequence, it may not lay flat or hold a straight line or bend around plants the way you want without staking.

    • Use a heat gun or Al-MAGOR to insert emitters easily. Survived TX heat and winter. Great tubing!

Used this tubing for all my greenhouse plants and irrigation system in my garden. Had to use a small heat gun putting direct heat into the tubing for 4 seconds. After that, emitters slide in easily. Worked so well that I bought more of this tubing to auto-water my 50 hanging baskets and 150 potted plants around my deck. Bought the Al-MAGOR insertion tool so that I could use it while husband used the heat gun. With two of us working, we got all the plants done in 1 day. Tubing is sturdy and will last as it has out in my garden that gets direct Texas sun all day and also made it through our hard winter with several ice storms. Tubing looks and works just as it did last Spring when I installed. Have used 600 ft of this tubing thus far and plan to buy more to auto-irrigate other areas of the yard.
