Yes, the dimensions listed for our product represent the actual size upon completion, with a discrepancy of less than one inch for easy reference. What is the material of the grommets, and what is the spacing? This product features an brass grommet every 18“, with reinforced pads at the corners for easy mounting. Is this tarp UV-resistant? Yes, our tarp is made from pure PE material with added UV inhibitors to prevent aging caused by UV rays. It provides excellent protection for your items, even with prolonged outdoor use. Can the grommets on this product withstand strong pulling? The pure copper grommets are designed for easy securing but have limited strength. For strong pulling, we recommend our 14mil product with sturdy metal D-rings. The product shown on the page has black reinforced edges, but I received one with white edges. Was the wrong item sent? This year, we've updated the product with white reinforced corners for improved strength and aesthetics. During the transition period, both versions may be shipped. It’s a fine tarp but be aware it’s exactly the stated size. If you’re looking for a tarp to put atop a 12x20 shade structure, this will not be held taut by bungee balls, and will flap in the wind; you will want one that’s a few inches short in both directions. During our last hail storm, the roof on my dog’s kennel was badly torn. I love the small size of our kennel and it fits perfectly into the spot we have for it. At night my two tiny dogs are very vulnerable when I take them out to potty. The larger one (5 lbs) is on a leash and I can stand close to him. I place my 3 1/2 pound smaller dog into this kennel and know she’ll remain safe. We have coyotes, owls, fox, an occasional bobcat, so either of my dogs would be easy prey. I priced out having a custom-made replacement roof, but it was outrageously expensive and the company that makes these kennels does not offer replacement roofs for their smaller size kennels. When I spotted this bright red and white striped tarp, I found the perfect solution. It’s waterproof, and it’s not see-through. So when I tuck my tiny dog inside and lock the gate, I know she’s safe from predators. The tarp is 4‘ x 30’ in size, infinitely larger than needed. I may cover the seats of two outdoor chairs, and can think of several other projects for which this pretty tarp will work well. ... show more

This is a very stiff tarp. It seems well made and the grommets are reinforced. It will not leak I am sure! But it does not drape at all- in fact it kind of fought getting folded up. It did not work for my primary intended purpose but it’s a good tarp. You could sit on it on totally wet surface and be certain not to get wet from underneath. You could fold it over something and lash it on the sides using the grommets. But it will not work hanging down along the side wall to block sun or water because its too stiff and won’t relax back down behind the chair when it catches the wind which it does!
