I've been taking this multivitamin for over 10 years. I was drawn to this product due to it being a 'food-based' multivitamin. I just noticed I've bought the 150ct bottle 8 times here on Amazon and then before that I was buying it from another online vitamin store. 5 years ago I noticed I was developing a tingling and cold sensation on my left forearm and left hand. I ended up going to the ER where they basically couldn't find anything wrong with the exception of inflamed tissue around the sack the heart sits in. During that time I discontinued the use of this vitamin because I wasn't sure what was causing the tingling. I started back taking this multivitamin a year later. Fast-forward to Jan. 2023, I started having that same tingling in my left forearm and left hand again. Originally, I thought it was due to my high blood pressure medication because I also started having heart palpitations. I ended up having to go to the ER where they ran a CT scan to rule out a stroke. They also ran a chest scan to rule out a heart attack. They also did blood panel to make sure I wasn't suffering from kidney or liver problems. They could not find an answer to why I was experiencing tingling and coldness on the left side of my upper body. Ultimately it was ruled as acute and would go away on its own. The ER assured me whatever was going on would not kill me. However, day by day the tingling and coldness started to travel to my feet and then my chins, then from my hands ands forearms to my shoulders and then I started to feel it in my chest. My PCP had wrote me referrals to both a cardiovascular doctor and also a neurologist. I began to experience skin tremors and flutters in my feet that weren't painful, but felt like bugs crawling underneath the surface of the bottom of my feet. It was a very weird feeling. I began doing my own investigating and realizing I was suffering from Peripherial Neuropathy. Part of my investigating was also thinking about every single thing I was doing day to day from eating to physical activities that might contribute to this issue I was having. Based on what the doctors said, it wasn't the high blood pressure medication that was causing this issue, and the only other thing I knew I had been consuming daily was this multivitamin, so I began looking up each ingredient and typing 'Peripheral Neuropathy' next to the name of each ingredient in my Google searches. Eventually I came to B6. There is 20mg of vitamin B6 in this multivitamin and that's 1176% of the daily value needed by our bodies. I found that there are MULTIPLE reported issues of B6 causing Peripherial Neuropathy when taking in either extremely large doses or slightly larger doses over a period of multiple years. This B6 induced Peripherial Neuropathy has been an issue since the 1980s and its still allowed to be sold in high doses within multi-vitamins. I instantly stopped taking this multivitamin and now a week later my Peripherial Neuropathy has almost completely resolved. Based on the timeline of events, I know for a fact this multivitamin is the cause of my Peripherial Neuropathy. Thankfully I realized it before permanent chronic nerve damage was done. Do yourself a favor and do your research. I was taking this vitamin for over 10 years and would have never guessed it would have caused me 2 ER visits during this time. 1176% of B6 or any vitamin is ridiculous when you think about it. Sure your body will pee out whatever it doesn't need, but your body can only get rid of it so fast when you're constantly injecting 1176% of it a day into your body. It's even more ridiculous that Rainbowlight would include this amount of B6 in their multivitamin when they know the history behind B6 intoxication and its issues associated with Peripherial Neuropathy. I'll never take this multivitamin again and I recommend you do the same.

Got these for my Husband, He Loves Em

My husband loves Rainbow Light supplements. This Multivitamin is a one a day power packed pill. The new Formula is better than the old formula. They increased some vitamins that needed a boost and cut some of the excessive overdoses on the B Vitamins. They swapped Saw Palmetto for Ashwagandha, which didn't make him too happy, but it's a VERY small dose, so it should be safe to take daily without getting the bad side effects of long term Ashwagandha usage. The pills aren't the smallest, but they also aren't the biggest pills that he takes, so it's easy enough to swallow. 10/10, Bought a years restock during Prime Day. Cheers!

Old & New Version Differences

After Rainbow Light updated the formula for its Men's One multivitamin I was anxious to try it out and placed an order for it immediately on Amazon after seeing that it was available. Unfortunately I was sent the original version despite Amazon's website showing that the updated version was what I had purchased. After ordering three times in January of 2023 and receiving the original version each time, I gave up and ordered it directly from Rainbow Light's website. That time I got what I ordered. I've always thought that it seemed odd that the original version contained 200% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin A as beta carotene yet only 50% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin C, so I was excited to see that Rainbow Light had changed these values in the new version. The new version contains 100% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin A as beta carotene and 100% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin C. Rainbow Light also made a point of announcing that the new version contains Ashwagandha. However, there are a few other subtle changes that you won't notice unless you have a photographic memory of what the old version consisted of, or if you have a bottle of the old and new versions to compare. The amount of Thiamin was reduced from 20 mg to 6 mg, and Riboflavin was reduced from 20 mg to 5 mg. These are some fairly significant changes. Additionally, the "Organic Rainbow Superfoods Blend" was reduced from 100 mg to 80 mg. Who knows how significant this change is since who knows whether this really makes a difference. The old version contained "Men's Nurshing Blend (51 mg) which I'm assuming was updated or replaced with something in the new version called "Men's Botanical Blend" (66 mg). Maltodextrin is listed as the second ingredient among "Other Ingredients" in the new version whereas it wasn't an ingredient at all in the previous verion. Lastly, the old version had something called "Enzyme and Probiotic Blend" (27 mg) which appears to be updated or replaced by something called "Ginger, Enzyme and Probiotic Blend" (27 mg). In conclusion the most significant changes are to the amounts of vitamin A and C, in particular the amounts of Thiamin and Riboflavin. The changes to the amounts of Thiamin and Riboflavin caught my attention by surprise since they weren't identified in the promotion of the new version by Rainbow Light; instead you would have to look on the side of the bottle to know that. Whether these changes make the new version better who knows.
