They seem to cut nicely, and are good quality. I love the rainbow look to them. The knife “block” is a neat design and is very versatile and can hold many more knives if you wanted.

Attractive and fit in the hand well. I like that the knife holder top is removable for easy cleaning. I never liked those wooden butcher block that could not be cleaned. Each blade is super sharp and cut very well. Heavy in the hand the knives are balanced well. The true test of a kitchen knife is how well it can hold an edge I will update the review in several months to let you know how they stand up overtime. ... show more

    • Gorgeous Knife Set - Sharp, Durable, Comfortable
This knife set has everything you would need for food preparation - the knives included were well thought out and cover just about anything you'd need. The knives themselves are beautiful and quite sharp, and the handles are comfortable and ergonomic. The design is top notch, and the materials used in the knives is slightly flexible but mostly rigid - exactly as a good knife should be. So far they've held an edge well. They aren't the best knives I have ever used, but they are up there close to the top. The main selling point I think for these knives is their beauty, and they are certainly beautiful, and would decorate any countertop with color and shine - subtle with just a touch of flash. The block is a new design, and I'm not convinced I like it yet, but it does work. It is sufficiently heavy to avoid tips, and seems to be high quality and durable. Overall this is a very well designed and functional knife set, and I was impressed that it is decorative and beautiful, but also exhibits thoughtful design and a high level of quality. These are beautiful knives. They’re sharp as can be. I have teal and purple in my kitchen and they pick up those colors beautifully, along with a range of other holographic/iridescent colors. That said, the silver knife block is both unattractive and difficult to use. You can’t quickly put the knives away
 you have to do it carefully, and they’ll only fit in certain orders, because there isn’t enough room otherwise
but unlike a traditional block, those patterns aren’t apparent in this open-ended design, so you have to do some moving around every time
 unless you can remember which are which based purely on the handles. The handles aren’t easy to see when in the block and take up only about 1/3 of the entire “look” when inside the giant-yet-too-small block, so you don’t get much chance to show them off. Worst of all, I’ve only had these open for about a month, and they’ve all rusted BADLY. These photos show a knife where I cut an apple, immediately rinsed the knife, but then set it back on the cutting board rather than in the dish drainer/dryer
 just a few drops of water settling on them for around three hours resulted in discoloration and rust that will not come off with any amount of scrubbing. The rust isn’t coming off into food when it cuts, but it has ruined the patina of the knives which is a major part of why I spent so much on them. So now I guess it’s good that the knives Cant be seen within the block. Overall, more interesting than traditional knives, if you have the money and like the look, and they’re utterly functional for cutting
 but the discoloration problem is INCREDIBLY disappointing, especially since it impacts the only major reason for my purchase. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I deducted one star bc the one knife has a tiny scratch on it. It is very minimal but it makes it super sharp and rough so I’m going to have to either see if I can get it replaced or somehow shave it down myself so my finger doesn’t catch on it. Besides that minor issue these are a beautiful set. The knives are high-quality. They are sharp, lightweight and easy to handle, and work really well. Would recommend. ... show more
