I had purchased this item once before and it worked to well, I decided to purchase another to keep in my camera bag. Just one of those things you need to keep available whenever your using your camera. Love the ability to switch between using a Power Bank or the A/C Adapter. Product may well work fine-seems of reasonable quality. It fits perfectly in my wife’s Canon Rebel SL-1 camera - but it won’t work. The geniuses at Canon designed the camera so that it will not turn on with the battery/card door open, but the SL-1 does not have the hole for the DC plug to go through. This item may well power the camera, but the camera will not turn on while it does. I’ve been buying Canon cameras since my T-70 back around 1990, and I may be done with this nonsense. Again, this item may be fine, but before you buy it, verify that this is your size of battery, and verify that there’s a hole for the power plug to pass through. I think drilling a hole in the door might destroy the latch, and the plug sticks out too far for me to file a slot on the edge of the door. I might be able to break open the adapter, rearrange the guts, and file a slot on the edge of the door. It would be easier to go buy a different camera. So I’m very unhappy with the situation, but not at all unhappy with the product. Slightly irritated that it so difficult to return, but I guess there are reasons for that, and it is my fault for not checking if it fits my model before buying.

As I am getting ready to teach a class TOMORROW, both of these units I purchased about 3 years ago stopped working. I have periodically experienced the power suppy problem result in a ticking noise in my canon m50 - I changed usb plugs and it workd again so I chalked it up to the usb-A/C plug, but now these both just failed regardless of plug or adapter. I AM ORDERING AGAIN beause they are fantastic to have in a studio setting, providing constant power, but I guess for $22 I'll just know to replace them every couple of years or so.

I bought this for my Canon EOS M because the stock batteries die way too fast when I'm trying to film long videos. It has been a total lifesaver for my setup since I can just plug it into a power bank and record for hours without worrying about the camera cutting out. The included QC3.0 adapter is great, but I've also used it with my own portable charger and it works just as well. You just have to make sure you feed the cable through the little rubber flap on the battery door so it closes properly, otherwise the camera won't turn on.

I teach online courses (result of the pandemic on collegiate academics) to undergrad and grad students. My Canon M50 eats batteries - I burn through one a day minimum. So I purchased this product in hopes of alleviating my power supply issue. Unboxed it, read the instructions, followed them, and zero signs of life from my camera. Read and watched online instructions and reviews. Still zero pulse. Did everything outside of seeking divine guidance and nada. This product was dead on arrival. So I sent an email to the Raeisusp 'help' box. Depending on how they handle my issue, I may or may not come back and change my rating. UPDATE:: Customer Service got back to me quick and had a suggestion for me - to close the battery compartment and plug in through the port - and it worked like a charm. Had my camera purring and greatly increased my productivity. Does what its supposed to do!!

I like that it will use wall power or a battery pack. The combination of USB connector and a AC adaptor makes this possible. With my large battery bank I use it for doing time lapses of sunsets and other stuff, stationary work nowhere near AC power. With my smaller battery bank I use it for mobile video. When I want to do video chat I put the camera on my RAM mount setup on my desk and use the AC wall power (Canon has a free software utility so you can use your M50, and many others, as a web cam). This has made my camera so much more versatile. Something like this should have been included in the box with the camera. I am very happy with this, money well spent.
