    • This is expensive but I trust it will not wreck my camera
This is a very high quality unit that seems to put out a regular and proper voltage, some of the cheaper knockoffs over these can have some fluctuations and sometimes put a little bit too much in I've heard of people frying cameras with them so do you really want to trust your $700 or $5,000 camera body with a cheap dummy battery, I don't so I figure I might as well spend the $100 or so and get the Sony so you know you're getting something that's not going to destroy your camera I've been using this for a long time, I make YouTube videos so I've got the camera on for several hours a day, it's been working awesome and I also forget to unplug it when I'm done so even on those days where I forget to unplug it for 2 or 3 days straight there has been no issues or problems so it just seems like a really really nice dummy battery kit ... show more

I bought this because I mainly do talking head videos on my YouTube channel so my camera is always in the same spot definitely worth the money and 100% compatible with the Sony ZV-E10 even has a cord cutout so you can close the battery door.

    • Sony AC Adaptor is a must to have!
I use this adapter with my NEX-7. It probably deserves only 3 stars but since there is no alternative and it is a must have, I gave it 4 stars since it does do the job. If you transfer pictures from you camera to your computer using the USB connection, you need to use the AC adapter. The NEX-7 takes a lot of power when transferring pictures and if you run out - your pictures could be corrupted. The handbook also recommends using the AC adapter when formatting cards. If you run out of power while formatting a card, you card could be toast. One could start with a fully charged battery and do the operation but if you are transferring a lot of movies this could be a problem. The charger is heavy so I won't be taking it on any trips. It works well at home. To use, you replace the battery in the camera with the "battery-like" end of the cable. You then are suppose to open a little door in the battery compartment cover to put the cord through. However, the cord is to big to fit in the slot so you have to turn the camera upside down with the battery cover opened to use this gizmo. ... show more

So several folks told me to go with the much cheaper alternative and I did. The dummy battery from another vendor lasted all of five months. Then suddenly it gave an incompatible battery error on my Sony ZV-E10. So I swallowed my pride and plopped down my credit card for the Sony dummy battery. It of course worked immediately and has been rock solid. I have accidently left my camera on all night a couple of times and no issues. It works. It is one of those things that work or don't work so I can only say, it works and I am happy. It has a year warranty as opposed to the knock out that I found out only has a 30 day warranty. I was going to try third party ac adaptor but had doubts because of other reviews. So I decided to get Sony product instead. I cost more but I have a little piece of mind be same manufacturer of camera. Worked just fine for me tight fit but secure.

This is not compatible with Sony zve10ii cameras. The battery is too small and doesn't fit into the battery compartment. Had to return it. You cant swap out the battery with the charger.
