  • An amazing machine for an amazing price
Color: Black Style: Standards
With this being my first E bike and knowing nothing about them, I didn't have high expectations. But suffice to say this is an amazing machine. It is easy to use, easy to ride, great for a first time rider. The springs make for a comfortable ride. But my favorite thing is the motor, it is fast, quiet and smooth. The motor barely uses any battery life. I would and have been recommending this bike to everyone. ... show more

  • Great first impression.
Color: Black Style: Standards
I had owned this Qlife bike (my first eBike) for three days, and have only ridden it the first of the three days, but so far I am very impressed. The bike seems to be solidly constructed and seems very well and thoughtfully designed. The first day I owned this bike my wife and I took turns riding and logged six miles on relatively flat asphalt pavement while using throttle-only mode. On my first trip around the 1/2 mile loop I hit 21 mph (subsequent trips seemed to top out at 20.3 mph) carrying my 183-lbs.. My wife rode at a more sensible 13.2 mph. Together, our six miles of riding depleted about 1/4 of the battery (stopping and starting depletes the battery faster per the instruction manual). Twice I reached out to the seller with questions and he replied very timely (within 24 hours). The ride is very comfortable (with the front suspension locked in my case with tire pressure set at 49.5 psi. The manual recommends 40-65 psi). Assembly is relatively simple, straightforward and intuitive. Various pros and cons: the instruction manual appears that it could benefit with updating. It references a link to a You-Tube assembly video. Following the link leads to a page with no content. I Googled "Qlife bike assembly" and found the helpful video. The manual references turning the right (blue) front fork switch to lock out suspension travel (useful on road when pedaling). Mine was too tight and I could not move it. There is a switch on the left-side of the fork which the manual does not address. I moved the switch which seemed to allow me to lock out the suspension with the right switch. (picture attached). Some reviewers mentioned difficulty installing the front wheel/tire. I too had difficulty. In my case, the problem was that the front brake caliper was tightened shut and so could not be fitted on the front brake disk. Again, the manual does not address this, but there is a silver hex-head screw on the back (wheel side) of the brake caliper. I loosened this to allow the brake pads to separate so that the caliper would fit over the brake disk. I then re-tightened the screw just enough so that there was minimal brake rubbing as I turned the front wheel by hand. (picture attached). The only unresolved issue that I have is that I have been unable to properly select a gear that does not result in constant slippage. I will need to Google to determine where the 21-speed Shimano gear system can be adjusted to prevent slippage. In conclusion I am extremely happy, so far, with this purchase. Initially, this seems to be a great value. I hope to be able to purchase an additional battery to extend the range. But, battery compatibility and cost are unknowns at this point. I like the bike so much that I ordered a second (for my wife). If interested ( if you are shopping for a bike rack for your vehicle) the unscientifically-measured ( I stood on a bathroom floor-scale while holding the bike) weight of the bike ( including battery) is 51-lbs. The battery weight alone is 4.2-lbs. ... show more

  • Great Bike for a great price.
Color: Black Style: Standards
Pros: easy assembly, packed well, good acceleration, reasonable battery life, comfortable ride. Cons: 2 day charge of daily riding. Batter mount is plastic, maybe less durable. Headlight is not that bright and provides poor visibility at night. Suspension is somewhat harsh. Tires lack good traction. I use this as a daily commuter to & from work averaing 8 miles a day in an urban environment. I also use for recreational riding as well. The pedal assist takes some acclimating as it takes off rather quickly. Ride is fine although harsher than my dual Suspension bike. Tires have very poor traction on wet surfaces, gravel and trails. Brakes work well and provide good stopping power. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the bike and hope the durability exceeds my expectations. ... show more

  • Best bike for your money
Color: Grey Style: Standards
I bought one for my wife as an anniversary gift one year. It works great battery holds the charge very well and is fast. I liked it so much and how much she likes it I decided to get one for myself. Very easy to assemble doesn't take much time, instructions have colorful pictures and very straight forward. I recommend this bike for anyone who wants to do long distance rides and worries about getting tired for the ride back. ... show more

  • It can do the hills, but not without your help.
Color: Blue Style: Standards
It's a really nice bike with the right features. It was easy to finish the assembly by following an online video. You may need to do some adjustments to the rear derailleur. Mine was off by one gear. With adjustment, it lines right up. I purchased this bike for commuting from a rural area to the city. The ride is mostly level and downhill on the ride in, but that makes the ride home extremely difficult. I bought the bike with the hope that it would make the steep hills more doable. The 21 gears, as opposed to 7 on many other e-bikes, was a definite selling point. To be honest, I was concerned at first. The bike has a 350 watt motor, lower power than the listing stated. When I tried it out on a moderate hill, the bike was not able to climb it from a standstill while using throttle only. I wasn't encouraged. But then I started pedaling, and it went really easily. So, I gained some confidence. Time for the real test. I rode the bike to work without any pedal assist or throttle. The 21 speeds worked well and the bike rode very similar to my normal mountain bike. On the ride home, I engaged the pedal assist and attempted the hills. These hills are steep enough that on a normal bike I can walk the bike up faster than I can pedal it. With pedal assist I was able to maintain 7+ miles per hour and didn't feel overworked during the climb. Happily, the bike did exactly what I wanted it to do. On a side note, due to the shape of the frame and the size of the battery, there is not a lot of space for a water bottle. I had to put a holder on top of the cross bar. It works, but my pants do rub on the bottle a little. I was able to purchase a triangular tool set/pouch that fit nicely into the frame. I added a rack and saddle bags so I don't need to wear a backpack while riding. Overall, this was a good purchase. I am happy with the functionality and cost. Now, I'll just have to wait and see how it lasts over time. ... show more

  • Great value for the money
Color: White Style: Standards
Really nice entry-level e-bike. Decent instructions, and if you find them confusing, there's a good assembly video. Overall, it was very easy to assemble. The frame seems sturdy. The disk brakes and derailleurs were perfectly adjusted out of the box. Just took it for its shakedown cruise this afternoon, about 10 miles, and it used a little less than half the battery. I'm 66 and hopefully this will last the rest of my cycling life. ... show more
