This privacy film is fantastic! I can see out during the day and it keeps the sun from blaring in too. From the outside, you cannot see in during the day. The windows are no longer hot, so it’s doing its job on heat control. From the outside, my windows look like a beautiful mirror! The tools that came with the product are an added bonus. The only negative was I couldn’t get the stickers to work removing the backing from the film. That was a little tricky, but not enough to say it was impossible. Applying the film was very easy, and the included cutting tool made it look like it was professionally installed. I highly recommend this product!

This window film looks amazing in day or night. The glittery pastel colors shine so pretty. I used this on my bedroom windows and now ordered more for my sliding glass doors. The film is easy to use and install was easy once I got the hang of it. Please note the film is stretchy so if you install the film and cut to fit while on the window like me then please look at the video I added. The film does stretch so when I did the first window I pulled the excess with one hand and used the razor knife to cut along the window with the other hand. What happened is my line didn't turn out exactly straight because when I pulled the excess with one hand to cut the film I pulled to hard and stretched the film. On the next 3 windows I used the squeegee to hold down the film while I cut around the window and it worked perfect. Do NOT try to stretch the film to line up perfectly in place because once it dries it will shrink back up to where it was to begin with. You can also just measure and cut to fit prior to installing but I found it easier to cut a section prior to install and leave approximately 2 inches extra all around and then cut it in to fit. When you do your first install you will understand exactally what I'm talking about with it being a little stretchy. The film is super easy to install and can be reused as stated. I removed the first strip I cut from one window and put it in another with no issues. I also bought the Gila Window Film Application Complete Kit off Amazon as well for the install tools. This kit comes with premade window film spray, squeegee, trim tools, lint cloth and works great. You will love how this window film looks after installed. I've got tons of compliments on this window film. Update: 10-9-2020. I bought this film almost 3 yrs ago. We moved last year and I removed the film and took it with me to my new house and reused it. It came off my old windows very easily with no residue of any kind left behind when removed. They stuck to my windows at my new house with no issues. Great film!

So, there were many brands to chose from, I read reviews and spent more money on these, and am pleased I did, the result is perfect. I have nosey neighbors that moved in and sit on their porch 20 feet from my side windows, all hours of day, night, and morning, like 3 am, and when police reported to me I had 2 peeping Tom's, I was fed up, I've had to use black out shades, leaving me no light on that side of the house. I hated not having sun! These are just right if you are looking for privacy! I advise to have ready: a very, very sharp exacta knife, a squeegee, and a spray bottle of warm water with a couple drops liquid soap. You simply clean windows, measure size, cut, spray water on window and on smooth side of product, apply, squeegee out bubbles and that's it! Beautiful pattern, I didn't want anything gaudy but something attractive, this gives a light prism feel as sun comes through, looks like actual glass and I was thrilled that my room lit up a good deal with sun, even though I can't see out and no one can see in. I loved this so much I did bathroom window that is located in my shower and the same neighbors could see into. I've attached photos of a tree outside ine of the windows before applying, and photos after. You only see distorted, very vague images. If a car goes by, I can see movement of sorts, but could not see what it is. I went outside and it's the same. I'm thrilled and going to be doing my living room windows that face those neighbors next! These are attractive and easy to apply as long as you use the items above, you should have great results.

It looks super easy; it's not. If you have a partner who makes life easier for you and doesn't make projects WORSE by pretending they know more than they do or criticizing every third step in the process, this would benefit from an extra set of hands. That said? The blackout film does absolutely black out; I got the one with the flowers. You cant really see the pattern because it really blacks out ALL light and you cannot see through it. Decreases the room temperature on those super hot days by a significantly noticeable difference. Also got the mirrored version for our sliding glass door. This was an exercise in frustration to get the film up and I invented about 15 new cusswords in the process HOWEVER. That room was unbearable in the summer and it reduced the temp by at least 10 degrees, made a simple fan enough to make the room comfortable and bonus it reduced the glare on the tv. All around, worth the effort to install. One thing: the first company sent a squeegee that was useful. This company sends a tiny piece of junk with a self-assemble handle and it is NOT helpful. Save yourself a few new cusswords and go buy a full sized squeegee and one of the 3-4 inch squeegees that actually fit your hand. It's obvious this company qas trying to make something that shipped easily but they ended up putting it in a bigger tube anyway so they didnt save anything and made their product less useful.

Good product . Arrived with all the tools needed to install and installation was simple. Only bad thing is some areas of the film were slightly creased due to packaging and shipping but no issues or complaints. Still worked great

I've used this film before for windows, as well as the fully translucent, rainbow-making version. I ordered film to cover an entire sliding door and discovered that this film really doesn't work at all for that. The material is too thin and application becomes impossible - while you try to remove the backing on one side, the other side curls in, when you try to remove the backing on the other corner, the first corner curls in and sticks to itself. This causes wrinkles in the film that turn into harsh lines and are visible from the outside, making it ugly. Then, the weight of the film pulls it out of place while you're working on it. While you try to fix one area, the window dries and the film sticks in the wrong spot. All I ended up with was a misaligned, ugly mess and a fully wasted roll. Despite this, I will say that on smaller windows this product works well. It really is impossible to see through during the day (even if its cloudy). It slightly darkens the view and makes it blue-tinged, but you truly forget its there if there's no window to compare it with.

Main reason I am knocking off a star is because the piece i bought has 2 different seam like straight lines in it, they are very visible from the adhesion side and since this is on a door, anyone coming from the outside will see them. The seams are also visible from the inside but only if you are standing right in front of the door and looking down at them. Otherwise it looks great from the inside. However from the outside, every tiny air bubble is visible and it looks a bit cheap. THere are many bubbles the size of just one square. I put tons of water and spent a lot of time pushing out bubbles with a credit card but it was night time or maybe because everything was still wet, it looked good when I left but very full of small bubbles by the next morning. I may try to redo a part of it to see if it can get better but frankly not sure it's possible to get all those air spaces out. As others have said, these are a bit hard to install and they are reluctant to be cut even with a razor blade, make sure your blade is as sharp as you can find, anything short of a fresh razor may not work. Another thing is the squares are not nearly as big as most of the photos are showing them. From a distance, it looks like a granular frosted look, individual squares are too small to see, unlike in their photoshopped advertising photos which also exaggerate the rainbow effect. Actual squares are only approx 3ish mm each. However it does adhere really well especially considering there is no glue, anyone would guess it was actually glued but it's not. I've also smacked it a few times moving stuff in to the room and there is no visible damage, so it's durable. It does a good job of partially obscuring but still letting light through. My goal was to give a bit of privacy to a new office i am moving into so that everyone outside could not see exactly what we were doing all the time inside and the other commonly used option of silver colored film only works in daytime. This stuff works day and night but you only get partial blockage, it would not be good if you wanted to completely block view, you can still see fuzzy outlines of what is inside. Also if you put your face right on the glass, you can see fairly well through it, so it mostly works from a distance. We find it to be a happy medium for us though.
