After many years of sheer blinds in six 32" x 32" windows in my living room, we were looking for something to let more light in but maintain privacy from our neighbors house just 8' away. After reading all the positive reviews, figured we'd give them a try. Wow, what a difference! Much more lights comes through, but privacy is maintained. The rainbow patterns that results from direct sunlight is really cool too. All six windows all look so elegant. As for installation, the other reviews are correct: - Make sure you have a clean window - Have a VERY sharp utility knife or razor blade - Use a credit card, plastic puddy knife or squiggy to smooth the bubbles - Smooth side (the side you pulled the backing off) against the glass - The 'trick' of using two pieces of scotch tape to remove the backing worked most of the time - Line up the top of the window first, then have about 3/4" overlap on left, right and bottom - Don't work in direct sunlight...the water dries faster and the material does not cling as well This is a great deal, and works really well. Just be careful to measure twice, and cut once. Better to make the cuts longer than needed, and trim once installed on the glass. ... show more

They aren't sticky which makes it awesome since you can cut the whole sheet to size or into a pattern. It also makes installing it way easier too. You can pull it up or put a little water on the window and move it the way you want. I love it and it's so pretty.

The media could not be loaded. This has a frosted look at night and a prism effect in the day. No longer can someone see in my home easily by walking up to my door or driving by. My front door and tea lights have pretty woodwork that I didn’t want to cover with any type of curtain or shade. This product worked and looks great. It is a cling material (clean window and apply with a little sprayed water) so it can easily be removed if ever needed. It is sort of thick so I think it may even help a smidge with insulation over the old glass, and cutting down the amount of sunlight blaring in will help now with air conditioning stress/electric usage. I used 3 rolls, 17.5” for this project. Took 2-3 hours. Get it long enough or wide enough that you don’t have to piece it together anywhere, I wouldn’t want to attempt that with this material. As someone else said in a review (thank you!), definitely leave an inch or almost inch overage on the top, bottom, and sides when you precut it (I used scissors to cut the piece). When applying, use a sharp razor knife and a credit card to get more precision/focused smoothing and cutting. Clean the window very well and then lightly spray with the water. Start with pulling some of the backing down a bit and then as you work down, pull more and more of the backing off. To remove the backing getting started can really take a minute, so have patience and wiggle a little bit of the corner back and forth to separate it, then easily peel. Arrived quickly. No smell. Nice packaging. Very happy with this purchase and definitely recommend it. ... show more

Very easy to apply. Once measured out, clean surface with Windex using squeegee. Remove film backing, wet with water and window surface, apply. Squeeze out air bubbles to edges with hand, cloth or smooth edge. Trim excess at window edges. Voila !!!

I've debated on whether to give a 4 star or 5 star review. For me personally, the only thing that I feel like could be improved, is to have gridline backing for easy straight cuts. I don't feel like that 1 thing should decrease a full star on my rating considering the product itself is good quality and does what it is supposed to.(Apparently they do have a couple window films that have the gridline backing. I just didn't realize it at time of purchase) The product itself is amazing and I'm very impressed on how easy it is to install and how well it stays put! It's a good quality product and I would recommend it to anyone. It looks elegant and gives me the privacy I was looking for. I live in an apartment complex and there is a walk way right next to my living room window. People walk past it several times a day. I've kept my blinds closed for 2 years so I could have privacy. This product has made me feel comfortable to have my blinds open to let natural light in, and still have my privacy. I would like to note, that when you install, if you find that part of the window film isn't sticking perfect like the rest, most likely, all the backing didn't peel off. I mention this because when I installed mine, the majority of the film was sticking perfectly, but in one area, it wouldn't stick well at all. After quite sometime of adding more water, taking off and reinstalling, I got frustrated and just taped up the corner that wouldn't stick. A few hours later, I tried again, that's when I realized that a portion of the backing didn't come off with the rest. After peeling off the piece that didn't come off with the rest, it went on easily and perfect! ... show more

I wanted to add interest and beauty to the side windows of my front door. The pattern on this window cling is so pretty when the light comes through it. It was very easy to cut and install using a spray bottle of water and a credit card to smooth any bubbles out. There is a very thin film on the back you must peel off before putting it on the glass or it won’t stick. To remove you just grab a corner and peel off. My daughter in law thought we replaced the glass it looks that good. I love it and would buy again. ... show more
