Do not use a USB-C to USB-C cable, as it may not power the device correctly and could make it appear faulty. USB cable not included. Reinstall the waterproof gasket and cover after testing.

For example, lean angle requires a built-in BMW lean angle sensor; if your motorcycle lacks this sensoror if BMW's communication protocol does not expose this datathe R7M cannot display the value. These limitations are defined by the motorcycle and cannot be overridden.
• Reminder: The R7M screen comes with a clear HD soft film pre-installed. This is different from the black temporary protective film used for factory shipping. If you notice scratches on the surface, they may only be on the removable HD soft film, not the actual screen. Before applying a tempered glass screen protector, please remove this pre-installed soft film first for better adhesion.

Where does the motorcycle data on my R7M come from? The data (like speed, RPM, lean angle) displayed on your R7M is read directly from your BMW motorcycle's own systems. Please note: Model Dependency: The availability of specific data features depends on your BMW model and its factory configuration. Which BMW models are compatible with the R7M? R7M fits BMWs with Nav Prep (SA 272): R 1300 GS/GS Adventure/RS; R 1250 GS/GS Adventure; R 1200 GS/GS Adventure (LC); S 1000 XR; F 750 GS; F 850 GS/GS Adventure; F 900 XR. If not listed, ask your dealer to add Nav Prep (SA 272). Why won’t my RiderNav R7M turn on when connected with a USB-C to USB-C cable? R7M has no built-in battery and USB-C to USB-C cables may not power it correctly. For testing, use a USB-A to USB-C cable with a 5V/2A USB-A charger or laptop port. In normal use, it is powered by a genuine BMW navigation cradle with the ignition on. Does the R7M have a built-in GPS? R7M has built-in GPS to record speed, trip distance, and altitude. It’s for ride data only, not turn-by-turn navigation. When using Google Maps or Waze via CarPlay/Android Auto, location data comes from your smartphone, not the R7M's GPS. My Ridernav R7M screen appears to have glue-like residue, scratches, or hazy vertical streaks. Is this a screen defect? R7M has two films: outer black and inner clear soft. Issues are usually from the inner film not removed, not a screen defect. Peel off inner clear film completely.
