  • Great quality for a fair price!
Style: CEC.40095.02
After noticing a significant decrease in my vehicle's braking performance, including shuddering and increased stopping distance, I decided it was time for a full brake job. These rotors and brake pads set are great quality for the price and I'm very pleased with the results. The most noticeable improvement is the enhanced stopping power. My vehicle now brakes smoothly and confidently, even in emergency situations. The brake pads provided excellent bite, and the rotors offered consistent friction. The annoying squealing and shuddering I experienced before are completely gone. The brakes operate quietly and smoothly. Many brands advertise low noise and vibration, and this set delivered. As long as you check your car year, make and model; these will fit and everything will work as it is supposed to! ... show more

  • Good Brakes
Pros: - Easy install - Moderate increase in stopping power - Competitive price Cons: - Minor increase in brake noise - Minor pulsing vibration sensed when braking In my preliminary research, some forums indicated the OEM rotor design was prone to warping, due to not being able to reject the residual heat build up during braking. So I decided to upgrade the rotors to the "performance" design using slotted/vented rotors, and have been happy with that decision so far (~3k miles). I replaced the OEM brakes and rotors on a 2011 Malibu with these, and braking performance has definitely improved. The new brakes have a pulsing sensation during deceleration, which I attribute to the slotted rotors, and it also makes slightly more noise than the previous smooth rotors. Neither of these "cons" bother me, but if you want a Cadillac-smooth feel, consider a different design. ... show more

  • Great Brakes! Very Happy With Purchase!
Style: CEC.40093.02
These are amazing brake rotors and pads for the money. A great value! I was very impressed with the fit and quality of these pads and rotors. They were very easy to install using existing you tube videos. I have had them on a few weeks now and they are quiet and still very clean. I had installed some new rotors of another brand on my other car and after a few days they were already getting rusty. These rotors are still shiny and looking good! I have also not seen much brake dust on the wheels. When I got the oil changed recently, the mechanic was going around checking tire air pressure and commented how nice the brakes look and how uncommon it was to see such quality rotors (drilled and slotted) on a minivan! ... show more

  • Ceramic Pads are NOT for Everyone!
Style: CEC.40093.02
I purchased this product for my 2006 Honda Odyssey based on the positive reviews and good price. Overall, I am very pleased with the stopping power and the quality of the product. HOWEVER... Ceramic Pads have their place and are not for everyone. What Happened: On a family trip to North Carolina we visited Mt. Mitchell State Park with a peak of 6,684 feet. On the descent (with 7 passengers) the brakes worked exceptionally well 90% of the way down...Until they DIDN'T work at all! There was almost no warning or the gradual fade of regular organic or semi-metallic pads. I finished the last mile down by shifting the van into "L" and using the parking brake. I then pulled over on a side street and waited 20 minutes for them to cool down before I could continue. What I Learned: Overheated brakes cause the brake fluid to boil putting gas into your brake calipers. Gases squish under pressure and can't apply enough pressure to the rotors to stop the vehicle. Because the ceramic material of the pads gain and lose heat slowly, the brakes worked really well right up until the boiling point. Once they hit that point pushing or pumping the brakes just makes things worse as the pads continue to heat up with every press of the brake. Summation: I rated these this product with 4 stars. Most people will be very pleased with the quiet stopping power of these brakes. However, if your commute has extended steep descents where brake fade is a known issue, look elsewhere. -Robert ... show more

  • WARNING ---- Do not buy brake parts from this R1 Concepts Amazon Vendor!!!!
Style: CEC.40095.02
I ordered a complete Brake kit for my Honda 2014 CR-V, which included 4 Brake Rotors ( Front and Rear ), Pads for front and rear as well and also had the clips and springs to complete the installation of the front and rear brake pads. I purchased the kit in October and did not have adequate time to do the installation until December when my schedule allowed for the work to be done properly. Upon opening the box in December and inspecting the parts, all appeared to be great and included a nice pair of mechanics gloves to do the installation work. Upon jacking up my car and pulling the brake calipers, removing the old rotors ( Front and Rear ) cleaning the existing rotor hubs to eliminate rust and particulate FOD from the surface, the new rotors were installed and new rotor mount screws installed to seat the rotors onto the hubs. The Calipers ( Front and rear ) were de-mounted of the old brake pads and clips, cleaned and inspected whereby the new brake pads were installed in the rear calipers ( Left and Right rear ) and all fit correctly. When the new front brake pads were attempted to be installed into the calipers after inspection it was discovered that the brake pad length on the ears would not fit into the caliper mount slots (Even with the clips removed to check that the clips might have not been seated enough) and it was evident that the pads were not even close to being the correct pads for my car (Even though the vendor's description said they fitted my make and model of car. I then had to make the decision to buy another set of front brake pads from my local NAPA store to finish my brake installation ( Rather than wait weeks to get parts - which I did not have any more time to do ). When I had the new front brake pads in hand from NAPA, I installed the new recently purchased local brake pads into my front calipers and they fit correctly. Then attempting to re-mounting the calipers into the positions onto the rotors it was noted that the fixed cast iron rotor framework ( The non movable bolted part ) interfered with the rotor surface by about 1mm ( .040" ) showing that the new rotors were not the correct thickness either!!!! Then after having to replace the front brake pads ( Which should have been the correct ones in the kit ) I then had to now also buy new front rotors ( locally From NAPA auto parts ) as well since these also could not be sent back because the return policy time had expired. The new rotors did fit correctly and I was able to bleed the brake lines and test the installation, all worked out, but at an additional $312 cost to buy correct parts locally in addition to the cost of the parts purchased from R1 Concepts. ( Buyer Beware ), I believe that the parts kit that was sold to me was a rear brake parts kit wrongly paired together to fit a 2014 Honda CR-V. And a front brake parts kit with calipers of another type of car since the calipers AND brake pads were both wrong and were completely incompatible. If you try and effect a return outside the time frame allotted there is no recourse solution and no way to contact the vendor to ask for a remedy to their mistake ( Only an AI get help - Non solution that does not offer a real contact with the vendor, just another "Don't want to talk to you" run around. What I learned - Buy your Auto Parts locally from a Auto Parts warehouse or vendor you can drive to, if something is nor right then you can talk to a real person to tell them you pulled the wrong parts, put them in a kit and sold them to a customer telling them that it "Really Does!" fit their maker and model of car. That way you wont lose $300+ like me ... show more
