This product has been in use for several weeks. It appears to be a bit flimsy, but so far has held up well. Suggest that you keep it stored indoors when not in use, keep it lubricated with light machine oil, keep it clean and don't force it into or out of the hitch. Make sure the wings are fully retracted before pulling it out of the hitch.

Used once extractor bend and broke. It’s not very durable. Great idea and was easy to put on the little trailer, but did not hold up very well.

Great idea for convenience and ease of use and less chance of losing parts HOWEVER the plastic handle squeeze to retract locking pin wings seems delicate. I can see this breaking fairly quickly or imagine the locking wings rusting but I'll give it a fair chance. I'll come back next year and give and update if I can remember.

I was excited to get this king pin because it’s hard for me to reach the cotter pin. I thought it was a great design, well made and great function. I had to return the king pin only because of the bracket design on my lawn mower. The pin was too long to fit. I turned my cotter pin upside down and now I can reach it with my limitations.

This is well worth the money. I am 70 and bending over of kneeling to use an old fashioned cotter pin and post combo is difficult for me sometimes. Plus I occasionally misplaced the cotter pin (or I should say my Grandson did). This is one piece and 2x sturdier then the old post. The handle is easy to grip and easy on arthritic hands and is easily installed and removed. Love it.

Too long. I can't use this with my Exmark Laser Z. Due to the length of the pin and how far out the engine shroud comes on the back of my mower I can't insert the pin through the trailer and hitch at the angle required. Might work fine for different mower/cart combinations, but just isn't functional with my setup.

Just bought my second King Pin, the first one only lasted 7 hard worked years. This is so much easier to use, especially with gloves on, then messing around with cotter pins. Just squeeze the trigger inside the handle and pull straight up. All I ever did was spray a little WD-40 on the business end once a year. The plastic handle finally fell apart, probably from embrittlement, but I sure got my moneys worth from that pin!
