In the summer our place doesn’t get below 77° no matter what the ac is set to. We bought this because we couldn’t sleep in the heat and now we get 65° every night. We leave the bedroom door open during the day so it can cool down the rest of the place. Worth every penny to be able to sleep again. It is a bit loud and sometimes it will start to make a rattling noise that makes it hard to sleep but usually will go away with a little adjusting of the tube to the window, or cleaning it out. It works so well though that we don’t mind too much.

I read plenty of reviews, and went with this one, a great bang for my buck, it cools up the small room I purchased it for. It has a fan mode for the days it isn't hot outside, it does make noise as any machine with a moter would. It drains a lot of water, so we bought a longer hose and had it drain out the window instead of having to keep dumping a bucket of water several times a day. The hose was only a few dollars at a home supply store. But all in all I'm glad I went with this one

I got this 6 months ago because my bedroom is too far away from the main air-conditioner and becomes an oven in the summer. Turns out it didn't just keep my room cool but worked better than our main air conditioner! Granted, the main one is an older 10,000 BTU window unit but it still definitely went above and beyond my expectations. More than that it was VERY easy to set up and use. Just let it sit for 24 hours before you plug it in and turn it on of course, and setting up the rest of the parts are pretty much common sense. The instructions are pretty straightforward too. Noise level has never been something that bothered me, so to be honest it's not something that I paid that much attention to. I wouldn't say it's quiet but I think it's pretty average noise for an air conditioner. My only complaint is that it let's it get pretty hot before it kicks back on. That being said, it probably means it uses less energy that way so I can't really count that as a bad thing. If changing when it starts back up is something you can change I'm not aware of it, but I think it would be nice!

It's not loud though it does make a little noise (what A/C doesn't) and it does, of course, need to have the hose hooked up to allow the A/C to drain. However, other than that, it works great and we've had no problems with it.

I purchased this for our camper. It came in fast which is why I gave it one star, however it did not work. Like an idiot I didn't plug it in prior to the day we left which was a mistake. My husband and I plugged it into the camper and it would not turn on. We thought maybe it just wouldn't work in the camper so we took it inside our home and plugged it in and no, the power cord showed a green light however the unit would not turn on at all. After reading the manual 10X and checking all the trouble shooting steps as well as online reviews of this unit we discovered this is a common defect. Now on to the next headache. I started the return process on Amazon which was approved and was told the shipping label would be created and sent to me within 2 days...it was not. I had to contact Amazon support again on the day it was due to be shipped by because I still did not have a return shipping label from the seller. It was still another additional day after they contacted the seller before I had it which meant I had to rush to the UPS store after work to get it out only to find that I also had to pay for the return shipping on this defective unit which was over $100. Best case senario is that I will get my refund prior to my next camping trip so we can go to our local Home Depot to buy a replacement and I will just be out $100 to ship the crap back. Save yourselves the same headache and just go to your local home improvement store. Lesson learned.

I bought this unit couple years ago and it's still going strong. Delivery on point. Set up was easy especially for a woman. I liked the fact it had a built in Dehumidifier. Only small issue I have it the control buttons on the panel are so dang sensitive. I'm not one of electronic gadgets at all. Show me physically how to do something no problem but the second I accidentally touch a wrong button on the panel and I'm lost. The instructions was no help to me. So with this being said, when your stuck in a situation and don't know what to do just unplug it from the wall wait about 15-20 min and plug it back up then all is right back to being so freaking cold cause I love it that way because my body is going through the change and I have to have my room iceberg cold, WHEWWW....I'm happy again.

It cools the area really well but I noticed after a few days there are small drips coming consistently out the bottom. Unfortunately I only noticed after the water had been sitting on my floor for days. I now use a towel under it and switch it out a lot for a new one
