The media could not be loaded. It is mostly as advertised. I was disappointed that the backdrop brick facade had a very noticable seam in the middle of the back wall which is noticable. You would think that they would have had one piece since there is a logical location for a seam at the corner. It makes this not so cheap item look cheap. Additionally, it would be nice to be able to mute the control buttons. Every time you turn it on or change a setting it beeps. Beeps at every press. Very annoying if you are trying to get the fireplace set while people are sleeping in adjacent rooms. ... show more

Received a fireplace completely different than the other fireplaces in others reviews. I purchased the fireplace based on the description and other customer review photos since the photos in the listing were computerized. I received a completely different fireplace than others. All of the flame color options listed in the description and manual did not work on the fireplace. There was no brick background as mentioned in description and in others reviewers photos. There was no opening of the glass doors, only one solid glass panel you could not remove, and no fireplace sliding chain cover like in the other reviewers photos. The sellers seem to be using reviews for a different model fireplace so be aware. The heat output worked fine. The customer service in dealing with this marketplace company has been a nightmare. I have went back and forth providing multiple videos and photos in regards to receiving a defective item for 2 weeks. I was told that all the flame colors did not come with the fireplace even though the manual and description notes the flame and log color options. The flame log floor color vs the actual flames did not always match because not all color options worked as in photo and you cannot just turn the lighting colors off and use only heat. They said I would be charged $48 for return shipping for a defective item plus a restocking fee once they received the defective item back! Then they lied multiple times saying they have reshipped a new replacement which I never received because they never shipped a replacement in the first place! Then it changed to I would receive a refund which I still have not received either. We have a fireplace that we originally had a screen over and were never going to use. We had spent almost the same amount on it that we did on this unit, and THIS UNIT LOOKS WAAAAAY BETTER. It actually looks like it is a brick fireplace. I did notice the seem in the brick patterning that other people had complained about. I did gently smooth it out, and then pulled the mesh screen across the fireplace (which is the exact look I was going to do originally and could only find a few places) and you cannot see the seem even if you are searching for it. Even without the mesh, the seem was impossible to see unless you were looking for it because they matched the brick pattern so perfectly. It adds a warm look to the fireplace too because the brick pattern is vibrant and looks like new bricks. To say I am happy is an understatement. I never thought that an electric fireplace would look so good (and I have two other self contained units that cost me 400 and 700 dollars each). I wish I had thought of buying this unit earlier as it is worth every penny and looks amazing. ... show more

This is a beautiful fireplace. We opted to hardwire it in and it looks and works great. I read all the reviews, very helpful. We had to build a platform for it because our opening was taller but as you can see it looks seamless. Just 2x6 and black spray paint. It was delivered without a scratch and we had it up and going in about 15 minutes. Great buy, very happy. The only negative thing, well 2 really, is the blower is loud when in use, and the remote has to be right in front of the fireplace for it to work. Both minor in my mind. This is a nice looking unit. Unfortunately, the heat even on highest setting doesn’t warm up a room and you have to sit directly in front of it to feel any warmth. It’s already been mounted into my wall and tiled around it or I would have returned it. Also the remote doesn’t work. I changed the battery and even wrote the sellers for a new one which they were super responsive and quick to provide. But, alas, remotes still don’t work. I’m also thinking I need to replace the faux brick since it is peeling. The low lit flame on orange looks amazing though. ... show more

We are very pleased with our electric fireplace. It is mesmerizing. Initially, I was surprised at how narrow (depth dimension) it was but it is still very nice looking and I really don't notice it now. Surprisingly, we really like the blue flame and ash color. I thought that color would be too fake looking but it really is attractive. I really like the glass doors and wire mesh screen inside much better than if it was just clear glass for the front. To me, the wire mesh makes it look less fake. We rarely use the heat, we bought it primarily for the flame look. We are very pleased with the product. The only negative feature is that if you open both of the glass doors at the same time, the whole fireplace tips forward. It does not have enough weight in the rear to compensate for the weight of the opened doors. Of course there is no reason to open the glass doors, however there is always the risk that a curious child or adult might open them. ... show more
