We got this unit knowing the space we planned to use it in was 3x it's rated size. So...our expectation was that it would help make the space more comfortable in hot/humid weather but we could not expect cool temperatures. The space is a 6000 cu.ft. garage that we've finished into a workshop ind it is not sealed to the weather. It took the edge off on a 92F day and made the space significantly more tolerable. It's also relatively quiet for an air conditioner and the condensate reservoir seems pretty large so it doesn't need to be emptied very frequently. One con would be the window fitting for the exhaust - it doesn't fit my window well and the only thing holding it in the window is the downward pressure from the window on hard plastic. I'm am going to stick window foam tape to the edges which will do the trick. I also don't have screens on the window so will have to glue some screen material to the exhaust so critters don't make a home in there. An included screen piece on the exhaust would be a nice touch. This would really be a good unit for a normal indoor room and will certainly cool it down but may take some very minor modifications for the exhaust. We are quite pleased with the way the unit operates and think it is both affordable and versatile in it's portability. Recommended.

I have been in the market for a nice portable AC unit for some time. The RW flame 10K is just what I was looking for. It is pretty small, portable and very quiet. The unit arrived packaged well and easy to setup. The window mount is pretty universal for most windows. I had to modify the window unit a bit due to the narrow width of my side bay windows. I just measured the width and cut down the mount. I have these windows in the master bedroom and the living room. This allows me to use the AC at both ends of the house. The AC unit is very quiet and produces very cold air ( I measured 39F at the outlet with a thermal gun) while using a reasonably low wattage (around 800 watts at full AC speed). The unit size is pretty small and very portable although it is very heavy. This is ok because it rolls easy and feels sturdy and well built. I look forward to using it during the summer heat waves to cool one section of the house at a time instead of running the central AC. So far I am very satisfied with how it is performing. It has multiple speeds, AC, dehumidifier, or just fan settings with a full function remote.

I picked this up mainly as a dehumidifier for our basement although it's comforting and knowing the AC functions work in case our main unit fails. Set up was easy and it's not too noisy even on higher levels. Cools the area well and I haven't experienced any major leaking aside from the traditional condensation you can expect from an AC unit. Decent quality.

My house came with an amateur garage conversion for rooms. They never plumbed them for heat or AC. We also have home-owners associations that care more about a window-unit sticking out, than they do neighbors with a used car parking lot in their yards .... go figure. My Dad is 89, retired, and technically in my care since he has mobility issues. That room is his "escape" place for watching TV, using his computer, etc. In the summer it gets really hot in there so I picked up this unit for something different. Installation was a lot easier than expected. The window-frame adapter is 2 pieces in case you have to go extra wide. In my case, I ended up narrowing it by 6 inches which was no problem with a dremel. The drain hose is generous, as is the vent hose as well. The unit makes a bit of noise, but nothing irritating - and a little fan noise is welcomed for the amount of cool air this pushes. The remote is a nice touch, and the digital display is easy to read. If you can't have a unit that sticks out of your window for whatever reason, this is the perfect alternative. I have this sitting on a table about 40 inches off the ground which makes the vent and drain tube work very effectively. Everything you need is included with the kit - however I would have liked to have seen a clip on grating for the vent - I'm sure I can come up with something for it.
