The media could not be loaded. My husband and I really wanted to add a fireplace to our bedroom but didn’t want to add a gas line. This fireplace is perfect for adding warmth and ambience to the space. I honestly think the company should put a different photo on their description because it looks much better in person than online. The flames look very realistic and the different settings help you find the just right look. We built an insert into the wall by cutting out some drywall and reframing the studs because we wanted it to sit flush against it. We are really happy with it! ... show more

We chose this insert because it was the best combo of features/ size to fit our space and budget. Only a person who has never seen a wood burning fireplace before could mistake this for authentic. It might more closely resemble a gas insert, but the lack of depth is a giveaway. Still, our existing gas fireplace was a heat drain, and this insert makes the place feel more cozy, so we’re quite happy with it. Our existing fireplace opening measured 35” wide by 29” high. We got the 36” option and got 4” landscaping bricks from Lowe’s to set it on top of so we wouldn’t have a gap. We had removed the apparatus that distributed the gas under the logs in our old setup, and capped off the pipe with a brass fitting to be safe (the valve is turned off outside the fireplace.) The gas pipe was about 13 inches back from the opening, so there was plenty of clearance depth-wise for the insert. We had small (1” or less) gaps on either side of the bricks so we could run the cord to a nearby outlet. I hid it with some decor. We’re really pleased with the look of the brick and it was a lot easier and cheaper than buying or DIY building trim to cover the top gap. All we had to do was put the bricks where we wanted them and set the insert on top. We weren’t sure how we’d handle the height gap before we ordered the fireplace, and we’re really pleased with how this setup worked out. We installed this piece into our existing gas fireplace (which did not work). Our opening measures 36×28 and this fits great with just enough room on all sides to easily pull it out to clean, allow air vent, and not look tacky. I'm thrilled with how quiet it runs; I cannot hear it when I have the TV on. Also, I really like the safety features! There is a time, auto shut off, and a main power switch that must be on before any functions work. I really can't say enough about this product. Really enjoy the fireplace but the lit display in the upper right hand corner does not shut off. It is always on rather than dimming once a button is pressed. The fireplace would look real except for the display which makes the overall appearance not as realistic as it could be. The motor for the flame also makes a small humming noise that may get louder as time goes by. I like the options this fireplace offers but just can't get past always seeing the display lit in the upper right hand corner. ... show more

All I can say is WOW! It's a beautiful fireplace insert. You just pull it right out if the box and insert. I did have to paint bricks to sit the insert on top of them to accommodate for the height. I wanted it to fill up the whole space. Worth every penny!

We initially had a question regarding the product and contacted the company--they were very quick to respond and thorough with their answers. The overall product is well-made and sturdy, and I like all the different color options. The logs are realistic looking enough and the glass on the front has a nice mirror effect. However, it just wasn't what I was looking for. The size of the screen (that the flames are projected on) is substantial, and I wish the flames could be bigger/go higher. It just seems like a lot of fireplace with not enough fire (if that makes sense). Again, while I liked the product in theory, it just wasn't for us--may go with a more linear style in the future. ... show more

This is a beautiful electric fireplace insert. We quit using our wood burning fireplace about 5 years ago and decided an electric insert was the answer. This insert fit the opening with only an adjustment at the bottom, and was up and running in less than an hour. It has lovely "flame and log" color options and the heater I'd quite efficient.
