Very nice design for a window unit AC. Much quieter operation. ...almost no compressor noise, only the fan noise, which is nearly impossible to eliminate for small window AC's. Fan noise actually helps mask other household noises while we slept comfortably. The blower has to push a lot of air to fill a room and does very well even on 113 degree days in a 2nd floor bedroom with poor insulation. We mostly ran it between 68 and 72 and it performed pretty well in such high heat conditions. Across the room (18 x 20 ft) it was 2 to 4 degrees warmer than at the remote sensor 6 feet in front of the AC. It helped supplement cooling to an adjacent media room and a lower level living room in a house with a failing home AC system during HOT Texas weather. I would buy this unit again, and I recommend it for everyone.

The product came well packaged. No complaints. The installation went well, and I feel that AC unit runs well. I am very happy with it. BUT... the condensation water build must be drained from inside using a bucket. The unit does not drain out the window. I knew this was a common feature on some AC units and before purchasing, I tried to see how the water drained on this unit. According to the questions section of reviews - an answer was given regarding the water drainage, "out the back." This is not true. It drains out the front. If you are ok with this, purchase the machine.

Paid well over a grand for two units recently. Within 30 days I noticed both were having weird issues. Sounded really loud or off in one. Clunking noises. The other unit randomly turns on even tho power is off (tho no timer was made) and it makes odd, crazy sounds but displays no lights showing it's on. It will start blowing the AIR button like the FAN but will not pull hot air out like AIR should. I have to unplug these now when I am not home as they seem to be a hazard popping on like that and acting like they have electrical issues. I paid over a GRAND for two!!! At that price I shouldn't have issues on BOTH within the first 30 to 60 days. 5 days after Amazon doesn't offer a return too. Yep. I have had other air units for 10 plus years no issues. I looked on Mercari to buy another. That was when I began noticing on Mercari that some fella 'rebuilds and sells these exact brands.' He rebuilds and sells a LOT of them. That tells me something. Not safe. Defective. Air units shouldn't act like that. I want a refund on both. Seems there may be a fire hazard for them to come on while power is off and yet all lights stay off. Manufacturer has YET to return any of my calls or emails. Sad that I don't hear back from him even though it claims a one year warranty.

This unit is exactly what I needed. It cools down my tiny apartment quickly, was easy to install (it was a bit tough without a second person but I made it happen), and looks great without blocking much of the window. However, it was delivered on its side despite the box having a “this side up only” warning (this can mess up the compressor), and when I opened it I found a large dent in the side of the unit. Thankfully the unit still functions, because by the time I went to exchange it the unit and most like it were all sold out because of the heat wave. I contacted customer service and they were nice enough to give me a discount for the damage, but I wish the unit were handled better (and possibly packaged better?) in the first place. Also there was a note saying to contact customer service instead of returning the unit, but it had zero customer service contact information.
