I love their products, another Great pomade from RCO! Their Quality is always the tops. It goes on smoothly and holds well. I love this for my longer hair because it doesn't feel weighed down. There are a few exceptions, but generally speaking, towel-dried hair is better for applying pomade. Pomade differs from goods for dry application like waxes and fibers in that it is activated by water.

If you don't bat an eye at that, I want to be your new best friend. Okay, that's me; that's my barrier, maybe it's not yours; awesome for you. So when I first open a product I zero in on smell; fragrance... This has a fragrance like a nice department store mens body fragrance. I was worried that it might be too strong for using after a lap swim; just the wrong and too strong smell can set off quite a sneezing frenzy in that context; that did not happen. I applied this with hair still damp after my post swim shower; a very small amount. The Look: wearing a shorter hair style, that "little dab" provided a medium amount of hold; good shape, but soft, flexible and natural looking. I didn't notice any additional or extraordinary shine coming from the "mineral mica", which is okay with me as I prefer a matte finish. I prefer a hair product that is somewhere between a paste and a wax, but with a matte finish. For me, this hit that target. I guess I don't like a creamy or hard crunchy gel product (time to get rid of all of those that are in my inventory). This is neither too stiff (waxy) or too creamy; the product has body. I think, if there were room in the cool jar it came in and enough product to do so, you could stand a spoon up in it. Keep in mind I did use a small amount, so maybe you would have a different perception and a different "hold" result if you used more. I like this, it will be in my rotation of favorites, but because I like variety, it will not be my "go to". Also, as my hair grows, and I'm too lazy or don't have time to cut it (myself, as I have been for many years) the product also changes to accommodate whatever length it is at the moment. Right now, that is about 1 1/2" on top and about 1/2 -3/4" on the sides. I hope this review has enabled you to make an informed purchase decision. (I rarely give an overall 5 star rating).

I've been fortunate to try many products from R+Co's BLEU line. To be honest, the whole lineup is kind of a mixed bag for me. And I don't especially care for its signature scent, as it skews too masculine for my taste. But! This pomade is one of a few others in this line where the scent is toned down considerably, so that makes me like it more, off the top. My husband and I both tried this product. We both often use texture taffy or pomade products for different reasons. His hair is short and he uses it to style the front and center bits just so. My hair is longish and naturally wavy. I use it as a finishing product, to add extra hold to my waves and to keep down flyaways and halo frizz. We both liked this product. It performed well for both of us. So, thumbs up there. But the price. Fifty-two dollars? This performed the same function, with the same degree of success, as our usual shared, go-to product, which costs about $15. I understand the idea of "premium brand equals premium price," but if you're looking for value equals performance, too, you may not find that here. Now. Don't get me wrong. This is among my top fav products from this whole line. It works well and gives me the results I'd expect. But for the price, I suppose I'd expect my results to be awesome. Instead, they're just OK. Good, but not best-I've-ever-used great. Look, if you're into premium haircare products and your budget allows for the premium price that goes with it, you'll likely find this product a solid option. But if you're looking for a "wow" factor to match the high price tag, I'm afraid you may not find that here.

...but was deterred by the price tag, I told him that R+Co is a high end professional haircare line...but he wasn't convinced, lol. He was impressed by the product itself though. As usual, the scent is masculine (my fave!!) I love that I can smell it on my other half as well as myself when I use other R+Co products. The consistency is like a paste/ wax and the hold is medium.
