  • Surprisingly sturdy
Size: 24" Color: 2 pack
Pros: Surprisingly sturdy. The bar is one piece, stainless steel, and it is quite tall. The stands are surprisingly heavy for their size and price point. Good ring stands for highschool or hobby use. Cons: Aside from the stainless steel pole, these ring stands are cast from some of the cheapest pot metal I have seen in a long time. The right angle clamps are so cheap that they feel like plastic despite being metal, and may even snap if you think you are going to crank them down. I didn't break anything, but woo do the clamps flex. Be gentle, these are not vintage USA ring stands. One stand isn't level and wobbles without a business card inserted under one leg, but this isn't an issue. Tools: A 14mm socket is handy for tightening down the nut, otherwise the rod will wobble. Overall, I would buy them again and they will serve me well. ... show more

  • Great stand
Size: 16" Color: 1 pack
The stability of the stand is good. I use this stand for my separatory funnel and other things as well. This was definitely the right purchase and has been a great addition to my collection

  • OK for the price
Size: 16" Color: 2 pack
Base is heavy enough, and rod uprights are sturdy. The clamps could be better. They are a little flimsy, and don't attach very strongly to the uprights. The plastic knob to tighten the clamps is VERY brittle, and feels like it will break if you really turn it down. Either that, or the clamp will bend. Neither is that great. But overall, for the price, I'd buy these again. ... show more

  • Budget Lab Stand with Misleading Base, Surprisingly Handy for Coffee Gear
Size: 16" Color: 1 pack
Rating: (3.4/5) While marketed as a laboratory accessory, I’ve repurposed it for manual coffee brewing, and for that use—at just $14.97—it’s unexpectedly functional. That said, there are caveats, especially around build quality and material misrepresentation. Coffee Setup Compatibility This stand has become part of my manual coffee rig. Surprisingly, some items fit as if made for it: • The ring clamps work perfectly with the Hario V60 ceramic dripper and the Melodrip screen—they sit securely and stay balanced during a pour. • The burette clamp holds the Cafec Flower Dripper (D27) decently well, though I’d be cautious with frequent clamping—it could scratch the Cafec’s surface over time. • Do not try to mount an AeroPress—this stand isn’t nearly sturdy enough to handle the pressure. This use-case isn’t in the product description, but if you’re a DIY-minded coffee enthusiast, this stand can serve as a flexible support frame. Build and Design Details The kit includes a 16” rod, stamped steel base, burette clamp, and ring clamps. Functionality is basic but effective for static, lightweight setups. However: • The base is not cast iron as claimed. It’s stamped steel, and the rod attaches with a bolt, not threading into the base. This may not matter short-term, but it won’t age as well under stress or repeated tightening. • The chrome-plated accessories look decent, but the attachment hardware isn’t plated and may corrode in humid environments (like a kitchen). • My Burette clamp is lined with a thin layer undersized cork applied with adhesive. The exposed edges of the Burette are exposed and may scratch and the adhesive will likely not survive moisture. Price vs. Other Kits (as of this review) • The QWORK at $14.97 is at least $1 less than the competion and offers basic, usable for light loads (V60, Melodrip, etc.), stamped base. Bottom Line Don’t believe the “cast iron” hype—but if you want an affordable, surprisingly adaptable stand for coffee drippers, Melodrip screens, or pour-over experiments, this kit is an interesting option. For heavier tools or anything involving force (like AeroPress), it’s a no-go. Still, for a creative setup that looks like a cross between a lab and a café, this little frame gets the job done. ... show more

Size: 16" Color: 2 pack
the larger rings are for 250ml flasks. they will hold 500ml, but should be used with a clamp

  • Nice little stand - 5/16 steel rod mod.
Size: 16" Color: 1 pack
The rod is 11/32. It wasn’t tall enough to hold my separator funnel over my stirrer. So I bought a 5/16” 36” mild steel rod and threaded 1.5” of the end (5/16-18) and it fits fine in the hole with a nut and washer on each side. Cost like $8. There is no issue with the platform or the attachment. It’s entry level stuff at an entry level price. Well worth it. The pic is with my 5/16-36” stand. ... show more

  • Poor design and construction
Size: 24" Color: 1 pack
I bought this ring stand specifically for an application for mounting a homogenizer. The product was described as heavy duty but when I received it I discovered that it was far from heavy duty. Normally in a heavy duty ring stand the base plate is solid iron, at least half an inch thick. In this case the base plate is hollowed out and lighter than most base plates. Furthermore, the design of the base plate mounting system does not inspire confidence. Instead of using a threaded hole that matches the post to be mounted to the base plate, the base plate has a through hole with no threads. The post has its threads but the only way to attach the post to the base plate is with a single relatively small nut. The through hole in the base plate is substantially larger than the diameter of the post making the mounting of the post subject to substantial movements if the nut becomes at all loose. This is a very poor design for mounting glassware containing hazardous chemicals if you're worrying about hazardous chemicals being spilled. Furthermore, there is no provision for any sort of locking mechanism like a lock washer or a lock nut. In addition, the hardware intended to be mounted to the post appears to be quite cheap in terms of design and construction and probably not a good choice for use with glassware containing organic solvents. ... show more
