The flask had a bubble on its side. The thermometer was broken and the separator had a missing cap. All was replaced by the seller. They were extremely accomodating and made sure everything was right. I was disappointed at first, but after the excellent way the seller backed up their sale, I thought it only fair to update this review to 5 stars. There is no water circulator of course to help condense your product. That is plainly expected as it wasn'ton the listing, so no stars removed there. I've decided to recommend the kit. If you run into issues, reach out to the seller for warrantee. They stand behind the sale.

Glassware is great but the clamps and rings don’t fit right. The burner doesn’t get hot enough to boil, so if you buy this, just know you’ll need a separate burner. Too much trouble to return, just bought more pieces elsewhere.

This is a great kit to start with when learning chemistry and how to extract oils! If you’re interested in learning to make your own oils at home this is a good way to start!

First, I bought this for a prop in a photoshoot so it works for me, but I am going to leave a review as if I bought it for it's intended purpose. Pros: it's affordable. The glass seems delicate but I can't expect laboratory quality at this price. I have concerns that it will last a long time, but might be an excellent starter set to learn if you want to invest more. Cons: it didn't come with instructions. I wouldn't know how to set this up if I wanted to use it. I tried to look at the pictures on the Amazon post, but the design changed so the video doesn't match the pieces and parts I have. Furthermore, I don't have all the parts shown in the pictures. I am missing a glass stopper that I feel would be important. If I bought this for it's intended purpose, I would 100% return it, but since I'm just using it as a prop, I am happy enough. I can make it work and it will look good in pictures.

The durability of this product is good, and the value for money is great. I did have a piece of this set break and it’s impossible to find a replacement individually. Uses non-standard connections. If you break an essential piece, you may need to buy an entirely new set.

The media could not be loaded. Where to start. I’m So dissatisfied, the last one I ordered had broken pieces and was missing a few items. It was packaged nicely though even if it looked like it may have been used. I decided to try again and ordered this one. There are some chips, the wrong clamps that don’t even match the picture and don’t fit around the pieces right. They have glued on cork which is lifted. The stand is loose no matter how much you tighten it and that makes the whole apparatus just an accident waiting to happen. I think it was maybe used before as one piece, the oil separator was all dusty and had water spots and there were 2 asbestos screens, the alcohol lamp was missing the top and no bottles. :-( I’m disappointed because I really wanted this.
