I read a lot of the reviews before Purchasing and agree with many of them. The unit is sturdy once it's all connected together. Just like most furniture these days I do wonder how many years it will last. I expect for a long time if we do not move it around a lot. It took me and my bride just over 5 hours to assemble it, which we considered pretty good. All of the parts arrived as expected and we did not have any of the small pieces missing. Instructions are straight forward as well. It comes with two small tubes of wood glue for the wood pins. They did not last long enough for all of the pins. I suggest getting a bottle of good wood glue and not using the stuff that comes with it. This is one of those kits you do not want to get ahead of the instructions. If you do you may find yourself undoing something you just did. We found laying out all of the pieces on the floor made finding them faster. Hope this helps, and yes we would purchase this one again. Just wish it was made in the US.

It is presswood, which we knew, but we are very pleasantly surprised at how well the frame has been engineered/designed. The instructions are throrough, although there are two small points in the directions that are missed; however easy fix and no backtracking. Be methodical, put on some tunes or e show in the background and just go slow. It took us about 8 hours total with two people to put this together, but we were probably a bit overly cautious. Alignment between headboard and two side pieces was off about three mm, but easily recitified. Overall, very happy.

Although this king size bed was a royal pain to assemble, I had my doubts about the quality of a bedframe in a box furniture. I must admit it did exceed my expectations and appears to be a much better build than what I was anticipating. The assembly wasn't actually terrible but rather a lot of pieces to put together and time consuming, It took me a couple of evenings - part time. I did take the time to make sure of a quality build by gluing, not overtightening screws, and double checking instructions before committing to each step. The instructions were simple to follow and I only found one step a little confusing. A second pair of hands will come in helpful when it comes to the bigger pieces. The extra storage space is a plus. The manufacturer also included extra hardware to insure you are covered in case you lose a screw or two. The only extra thing I did was purchase a big bottle of quality wood glue to replace what was included. Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase. So much so, I purchased two matching end tables, tall dresser and the wide dresser for a complete suite. Don't misunderstand, this is not solid wood bedroom furniture but it did exceeded my expectations based on what I paid for the entire suite. I think it will hold up well for my wife and me. Oh, and it supports or mattress very well and sleeps good too.

I researched A LOT before deciding which bed to purchase for my preteen daughter's room makeover. I shopped at multiple "brick and morter" furniture stores and across multiple websites. I read the other reviews about the building of the bed being challenging, so I was prepared for that aspect. This bed is pretty much perfect, and was 100% approved by a very picky 12 year old. We have the bed in a corner due to limited space in the bedroom, so we can't access the drawers on one side, but we don't even miss them! She's been using it for 3 months now, and still loves it.

There are a lot of pieces as others have mentioned, but it puts together quite nicely and it looks good in person. The instructions are picture based, but easy enough to follow. I recommend sorting the parts first to make the building process more straight forward. The storage is plentiful and secure. - My biggest complaint are the garbage plastic pieces that the bed slats push into. The bottom pegs are supposed to be forcibly pushed into the metal side rails, but you have to push down on the slats to try and even out the bottom pegs or they just bend and become not useable. I have 5 that are completely unuseable because I couldn't get them to pop in and 5 others that got warped and not firmly secure. It would have been better to bolt them into place like other pieces in the build. I'll have to likely redo the slats another way to keep them secure. I spent 1hr on slats alone and you don't get extras. Trash. - Other negative are the 4 cubbies (non drawer) that don't actually have a top/ceiling to create an enclosed box, so if you have small animals, especially cats, they will be able to get under the central bed. I'll have to find a way to enclose those spaces. - Be careful with small screws, they can strip easily if you don't supply enough force to get them to bite, being manufactured/compressed wood.

Solid piece of furniture. Took about a million hours to assemble and the support arms for the headboard doors are a pain to screw in, but otherwise a nice frame. I have the matching bedside tables and they are very sturdy.
