What one person may find to be a comfortable mattress, another will find the opposite, so reviews regarding comfort must be "taken with a grain of salt". And a lot of it has to do with the base the mattress is placed on. I purchased this to use on a box spring in my house but found it to be a little too soft for my taste, but when I moved it to my RV on a plywood base, I find it to have a perfect medium-firm feel with a soft comfy top surface and it's great!
