I love it. i'm seventy years old and love to be outdoors but i'm not strong enough to pedal up those hills anymore. Now I don't have to. This much faster and so much more powerful than I expected. I really didn't need this much power, but I didn't know that when I purchased it. I love it though. The seat is very comfortable. It's very smooth on the road and I love that I can pack a lunch in a small. Cooler and put it in the front basket and take my beloved french bulldog with me in the back basket. It's a lot of fun. We were somewhat disappointed in the sturdiness of the E-Trike. It was not at all easy to put together & never found installation instructions for some of the accessories, like the phone holder & the water bottle holder. The back rest is great but cant get it to stay in my preferred raised position. I even called the seller/manufacturer & they had no info at all. AI had no info either! I'm learning to ride, it's different from a 2-wheel bike. You don't lean left or right on the trike like you do on a bike, you turn the wheel....if you lean, you may tip over. Saying all that, I do like it better than the 2 wheel E-bike, much easier to ride once you get the hang of it. ... show more

I bought the Lava trike because it had a feature not all e-trikes have- you can leave power on without pedaling. To do it you just use the cruise (turn the handle to make it go on) and then after a minute you can let go and it stays on. This was important to me as I have knee problems that sometimes prevent pedaling. To stop it you just either pedal or brake- very intuitive. I also love that it comes in colors (red is my favorite!) and comes with baskets. The assembly wasn't any harder than my e-bike was except that you can't turn the trike over to put the front wheel on so that is a bit more tricky. The seat is comfortable though a bit hard to adjust but once I got it it is fine. It has big tires which is great for mixed terrain. One thing I discovered early was that pedaling without the battery in use at all is actually quite easy and that means easier than the one non-electric trike I'd tried. I love the large cargo basket in back (I hadn't put the front basket on yet in the photo) because one of the things I will use the bike for is going to and from the place I keep our boat when we go out crabbing. Plenty of room in the cargo basket for a five gallon bucket. Riding a trike- probably especially an e-trike- is a new skill. I wanted something more stable than a bike and it is, but you have to adjust to not leaning into turns or taking them too sharply. So it takes more getting used to than you would think it would. So although my picture doesn't show a helmet I use one to ride! ... show more

Ugh, had to take apart the front forks, they were jammed between the frame and tire. Quality seems good. For some reason I had a lot of extra parts, bolts, nuts. No mount for bottle holder, time will tell
