The amount of items you get for the price is great however the clay itself was hit or miss. The variety of colors is great although some of the clay was unusable as it was rock hard and no matter how much I kneaded, it just didn't work. On the opposite end 1 or 2 clays were extremely too soft, almost melted like, these were easy to knead but way too soft to be able to do anything with. I may have just gotten a bad batch and I do believe that the kit does have potential. ... show more

I loved this polymer clay kit! It was very easy as a beginner to open it up and get started and I didn't ruin anything during the baking process. Pros: Packaging and amount of clay included was very reasonable - literally will be hours of fun. I loved the color selection but note you can mix all of the clays to get new colors too. The baking instructions were written in broken English so I just kind of made it up by looking at online instructions. I baked at around 260 for 15 minutes per .25 inch, if they were bigger pieces I let them cool a bit then placed them back in to total 30 minutes. Cons: The plastic tools are not optimal for creative adults and I have recently purchased a set of more detailed tools. I think kids will find them totally adequate though. (there are seams in the plastic and the tools themsleves are kind of big an clumsy). The accessories are not ideal (like the metal loops which are just too long for the tiny creations I wanted to make). I have purchased a different type of those too. ... show more

I bought this as a Christmas gift and I was actually very surprised and impressed with this set, especially for the price! It comes in a nice plastic carrying case, and has sculpting tools and a large variety of colorful clay. I would buy it as a gift again.

The clay was hard and at first and dry. My son added water to it and that made it more smooth but then the color was coming off on his hands. plus it smelled funny, I dunno if all clay smells like that but it was strong
