Oven-bake clays, when stored correctly in a cool, dry place, below 77°F and out of direct sunlight, have an expected shelf life of a few years. Shelf life can be impacted by environmental conditions, including heat and humidity, during shipping and storage. We store the clay at Polyform in a cool and dry environment. Improper storage may affect the quality of the clay. One aspect of oven-bake clays is that they react to very warm temperatures. Proper polymer clay storage is essential to freshness. The clay should be stored in a clay compatible container in a very cool, dry place, unexposed to the direct rays of the sun. We recommend containers or bags made out of polypropylene (PP) plastic. Hint: Look for the recycling symbol 5 on the bottom of the container. DO NOT store in a hot environment above 77°F. DO NOT store in direct sunlight. DO NOT store inside a car. Make your craft supplies shopping your last stop. Store the clay in a cool, dark and dry place. Polymer clay can be stored at low temperatures with no ill effects to the properties of the clay. Tip: Refrigeration or freezing can extend the shelf life considerably. In the summer months, the clay may become partially cured if your climate is very hot and your house is not air- conditioned. • Clay is too dry to use
The clay is dried out and useless for any craft project. I have completely wasted my money by trusting amazon prime to deliver craft supplies. It got here right on time, but the product is useless

  • Better than Fimo and Sculpey III
Premo is much stiffer than sculpey III and takes more time to condition but, the added plasticizers in Premo makes it a much better end product. It does not break nearly as easily as Sculpey III. It is very strong. The white Premo is also much brighter and whiter compared to Sculpy III white clay. This is also easier to use than Fimo. It doesn't burn as easy. A quick tip when baking in a toaster oven is to bake on a ceramic tile which you line with parchment to prevent a shiny bottom to the clay. This helps prevent the clay from burning. Also tent your project with foil or a pan turned upside down. This will also prevent scorching. ... show more

  • Perfect for monster teeth!
I used this to make teeth for a Halloween costume mask (Venom from Spiderman). It was very easy to use and I had only used Sculpey one other time. It was the perfect product for the application and looked like real teeth. I added brown and yellow acrylic paint for plaque and finished with glossy mod podge to give it 'spit'. Many complements on how real they looked. My nephew LOVED his mask! ... show more

  • Useless.
Bought two bars of this clay, both were equally worthless. Old, crumbling, and no chance of reconditioning them into something usable. Take your money elsewhere on this one.

  • Biggest Amazon Disappointment Ever
I almost never give bad reviews and I have never before wished that there was a zero star rating. I have worked with Sculpey and other polymer clays since I was in high school and I have never seen any that was in this condition. This clay is so old I can't even attempt to work it. It immediately crumbles whenever I apply pressure. I have tried several methods to recondition the clay with absolutely no success. As a last resort I am going to see if adding mineral oil and allowing it to sit will make a difference but I am beyond frustrated and disappointed with this purchase. Thus should have been removed from the warehouse years ago. ... show more

The shipment I received was pretty dry and stiff - I could barely use it without having to add oil and knead it constantly in my pasta machine, but then it got a lot of air bubbles which made it fire funky in the oven. Since then, I've been buying it at my local store so I can get a better quality batch. ... show more

  • Never again.
This clay is so hard, I had bruises on the palms of my hands from trying to work with it. I am not talking sorta hard and warming it helps, I am talking Hard like a block of paraffin wax or trying to warm up a crayon and knead it. I hated it.

  • Hard, Unusable, Snot Green Colored Translucent Clay Fail
After two efforts to return this item with absolutely no feedback from the seller, I decided to write this review. Firstly, this is a clay that you bake to harden, and this whole block came prehardened, which means that it can no longer be molded or used for any purpose. This could be due to heat in a warehouse, or just the fact that the clay has gone stale, but it is useless to me. It's a snot green in color--not transparent, and completely unusable.I posted two stars cause when I choose one it won't go through. ... show more
