Bought a used Pioneer radio online and it didn't have the cage anymore. Purchased this in hopes it would work and sure enough, everything went together in under 10 minutes. Screw the brackets to the radio, install the cage, and slide the radio in. To those saying it's cheaply made, that is all a headunit cage is. It's just there to hold the radio from sliding in and out.

This kit worked very well for a double din install on a 2007 Porsche Cayman. Once the brackets are fitted to the radio unit the whole assembly just slides in and locks in place. The two keys allow easy removal. The bezel is generic and didn't work for this car but may for others.

Definitely a little flimsy but it got the job done, I can guarantee I will lose the removal tools before I need them again but thankfully there are ways around them. Take caution when you’re installing this dash sleeve, the edges are insanely sharp especially on the back. I learned that lesson very quickly, a quick pass or two with some fine sandpaper would have done wonders. Overall a good value for the price

I bought this for my volkswagen mk4 golf gti. I had an issue with my aftermarket radio and had to get behind to check the wiring. Unfortunately, beforehand I used a basic double din dash kit that once the radio is installed it is impossible to get out. I had to spend a few hours removing my whole front dash to get behind the radio because of this. Not wanting to repeat my past mistake I looked into getting a universal double din cage kit that allows the radio to slide out if needed. This dash kit was one of the only few ones I could find on Amazon that met the measurements for my front dash. Despite mixed reviews I decided to get one to at least see for myself. Short story, I returned it since the black plastic trim hiding the cage was flimsy and didn't even stay attached while in idle. For others looking for a double din kit for a volkswagen mk4 dash I recommend Enfig Car Stereo. I found out about them through watching a Youtube video by HumbleMechanic who specializes in volkswagens and owns a mk4 R32. Their double din kit was able to fit my mk4 and looks rather nice. I was pretty disappointed with the overall quality of QLOUNI's radio installation kit and not surprised to see that Amazon has a cautionary message that the kit is frequently returned. The black plastic trim is very thin and was completely warped upon arrival. It didn't even stay attached to the metal cage when installed while the car was turned off. I would test this before installing the metal cage since there's no going back once the cage is installed. Not sure if the warped plastic trim was due to heat warping while in packaging, damage while shipping, or damage as a returned item. The whole kit itself looked as if it could have been returned already despite it being purchased as new. (As a disclaimer I don't know for sure if this is the case but I thought worth mentioning for others). Overall, I don't think this kit is worth it. If you are changing out a radio in your car you want the end result to look nice; you see it every time you are in the car.

Used to upgrade my original Jensen stereo in my rv. Easy install, my only gripe is the janky trim that doesn't fasten in any way and constantly falls off.
