For the price point this bike is at, there are zero complaints. I fully understand that the bike isn't "premium" and will need a little bit extra TLC and some upgrades in various places, but overall, this is a very solid entry level ebike. My overall daily commute is roughly 7 miles each way, and a full charge gets me both ways with plenty of juice to spare (if I rely 90% on just the motor to do the job). When I'm the one pedaling most of the way, the assist hardly kicks in once I'm up to speed and it really only does the thing on the two inclines I have to deal with. Battery charges quick and locks in with the keys really well. It's not super heavy, so that's a plus. I had a scooter that was marginally lighter, so it's kinda surprising that there's not as much of a weight discrepancy between the two. It's easily maneuverable. Gets up to speed pretty fast. I've read reviews of there being noticeable lag on when the assist kicks in, but maybe I just haven't been on more "responsive" bikes because the amount of time between pedaling or thumbing the throttle is negligible at best. The brakes are mostly OK, fine for casual riding. But, I'd recommend getting a little upgrade (and keeping a couple spares on hand if you ride a lot). Assembly was pretty simple. The included manual doesn't have too many instances of engrish. The included tools are sufficient, but having a socket set and some other Allen keys handy would expedite the process. Can't say a whole lot for the durability, as I haven't had the racer for too terribly long. But, after tightening everything up, and putting a couple hundred miles on it.... It feels great. You'll want to check the brake cables after a bit as they'll loosen a little with regular use. I *did* have to replace a tube the other day, but we can thank the city for providing me with great pavement deficiencies to endure. All in all, a very solid bike. ... show more

Great deal on an e-bike. About an hour after it arrived at my doorstep, I was riding it to the other side of town to play an open mic. Assembly instructions were pretty straight forward, and it arrived securely packaged. Brakes feel good and effective and were working great right out of the box. Solid combination of ample miles per charge, power for hilly roads, relatively light weight, and very affordable price. I'm 5' 10" and the frame/wheels are a little smaller than the last e-bike I owned, but I like it a bit smaller because I often put my bike on the local buses' front rack and carry it up and down the stairs to my apartment. The size and weight feel nicely manageable for my lifestyle, and 48 lbs is a pretty nice weight compared to a lot of other e-bikes I've looked at. Good looking bike, nice and simple aesthetic, and the build feels good. I'm a year-round bike commuter, so I will certainly put the motor to the test over the months ahead, but everything is running great and it's reassuring to know that it is covered by a 12-month after-sale service. Digital display is easy to read and operate, and I like the different power settings with the pedal assist. I haven't even tried the fastest setting yet, but the 2nd fastest keeps me at 18 mph which is great and the next lower setting at 15 mph, which are most of what I'll probably be using. Great bike for the cost - we have 3 in my house. Fast speedy delivery and easy directions. Size is perfect for my 12 year old that rides it to school each morning, with the battery holding a good charge. We like the multiple gear settings so it goes the speed he is comfortable with, the settings can get adjusted as you are riding it and the motor picks up when pedaling gets harder. Great bike. Rides smooth. Easy to use, Very easy to assemble. Add a tire, handlebars, reflectors and you’re off. Took less than an hour to fully assemble. I was impressed with the speed as well. Pretty cool! Bike feels like a solid build. Battery came fully charged so we could ride after assembly.
