I bought this Qlaway scooter (the 500w, 10" wheel option) approximately one year ago. I am a full-time college student and this scooter has been my primary means of personal transportation for this past year, and it has been well worth it. I purchased the scooter for about $350usd (which is a little higher than it is listed now) and it has been worth every penny. I have easily put over 500 miles on this thing and it still works perfectly. The battery still lasts about as long as when I first bought it too! I always ride it in "sport mode" which uses battery the fastest of all three mode options but I can still get about 15 miles in on a full charge (and I live in a city in Utah with lots of hills) and even more if I was in "normal mode" and riding on flat roads. My commute to school every day includes a very steep hill that is about 1/4 mile long and this scooter has never had any issues getting to the top (it does lose a bit of speed on the way up but that's all). Most of the affordable ($350 or less) scooters on Amazon are either 250w or 500w. Mine is 500w and my friend has a different scooter that is 250w. If you are unsure whether to go 250w or 500w I'd say it's worth it to get the 500. Having ridden both mine and my friends I think the 500 is just so much better and not too much more expensive. If you are using this scooter as a main means of transportation then the 500 is hands down the best choice. It has more power for hills, slightly longer range and top speed, full suspension, better handling in rain, and a more large and sturdy frame overall. It does weight a bit more because it is bigger but it is worth it in my opinion. The only issue I have had with this scooter after a year was that the thumb throttle started to wear out a month or so ago. However, I emailed Qlaway and they immediately shipped me a replacement part free of charge and It is now back to full working condition. Great scooter, great support. I am extremely happy with this scooter and it was very helpful for me during a 9 month operational use. I rode it 800 miles (estimated) to help with First/Last Mile connection points. However, I did have to buy another one within a year because the frame cracked. This frame crack is expected with how the frame wiring is comes out of the lower portion of the scooter. I don’t exceed the weight limit but I am near the weight limit. I did purchase the exact same one. Due to the level of happiness I had but be prepared to only last for a while until the weak point in the frame starts to fracture. ... show more

I’ve had this for about a year and a half. I ride it a few times a week, including commuting 7 miles round trip to work. Tops out at 17 mph in Sport mode. Pros: It’s pretty compact and fun to ride. You can turn on the headlight and rear taillight for night riding. Brake light flashes when engaged in both day and night modes. Easy to fold it and put in a trunk or backseat. Price is reasonable. 3 speed modes: Sport, Drive and ECO. Cons: You can feel every bump due to no shocks and airless tires. Some rough roads rattle my teeth. Battery life is not great. I haven’t run out all the way down but I estimate 8 or 9 miles max. It’s slower than other scooters I see people riding. They always pass me. It struggles up moderate hills. I have to push like a kick scooter sometimes. 3 speed modes: Slow, Slower and Slowest. Bluetooth no longer works for me. Don’t need it though, you can access the same functions on the bike itself. These cons kinda make sense given the price. Scooters with shocks, bigger motor and battery, inflatable tires easily cost double and up. For a daily commute this suffices but there are more comfy rides if you want to pay. If I had to do it all over again I’d consider an upgraded model. ... show more

I bought this particular model because it comes with a seat, but as you can see in the picture, it’s impossible to put the two pieces together which comprise the seat. Very poor quality design and fabrication. The product already arrived late and as soon as I became aware of the problem with the seat I reached out to the seller via the email provided, stressing that I don’t want to wait a long time for correct parts, as I assume that’s what they will send to correct this problem. I got an email in reply asking for the order number, which I sent right away, and have heard nothing since. I have some physical limitations and already struggled with getting the product out of the box and mostly put together. It will be a real hardship if I have to reverse the process and return the product but that may be where this is heading. Extremely unhappy. ... show more

Acceleration is quicker than I expected. The motor pulls strongly from a stop and gets you up to cruising speed fast, with enough power left over to handle inclines without bogging down. Brakes are responsive too — grabs firmly and stops you in a reasonable distance without feeling grabby or unpredictable. The aluminum frame keeps the weight down, so folding it up and carrying it into a building or putting it in the car trunk isn’t a struggle. Feels sturdy though — no flex or rattling in the stem. Very good, and for the price I’m not mad. A few things you should know though, is that it breaks VERY hard, but you’ll get used to that, like I did. Not the best accelerator, it take an awhile to get up to max speed, and also not that good going uphill. I weigh 90, and the max speed while going uphill was 12mph.
