Great printer lots of small quality of life improvements on the Plus5

I got the printer very quickly, the setup was very straightforward and instructions were clear. As soon as I was done, removing all the packing material and screws holding it together for shipping, I started my first print and it was flawless. I also have a Qidi Plus4 and all of the improvements that I have noticed, on the Plus5 , it's clear that Qidi has learned a lot and applied all those quality of life improvements to the Plus5. The Plus5 has the bottom deck that doesn't have any lips so you can scrape out any debris easily, it has a sleep function that works really well now I have not tested how much power it uses in sleep mode, but all of the fans and lights are completely off until you touch the screen and it wakes right up. The new touchscreen is a little bit smaller, but it seems to fit the device better, it looks clearer and is much more responsive. The whole user interface is much faster now. The bed leveling has been flawless for me not the weird quirks from the previous Plus4. The bed heats up very quickly. The printer overall seems much quieter than the Plus4, I have it sitting right next to my desk and it's not unpleasant at all while I'm working. Overall this seems like a much more refined printer from a more mature brand. It has a lot of the quality of life things that just makes sense, it is like a Bambu Lab without the lockdown ecosystem. I can choose to use an Ethernet cable to connect to my printer directly off-line or I can use LAN only mode, While still maintaining complete functionality of the my printer. I appreciate when I buy a product that the company treats it like it's my property now because I own it, not theirs that I am renting.

Impressive larger Qidi packed with updates

This is our 3rd Qidi printer, the first being the Q1 and then the Q2. The Plus5 has been a great upgrade from the Q2, which we already loved. The increased build plate size to 320x320 is a welcome addition that will now allow us to print larger size projects, including helmets which we have been looking forward to. We've also noticed a better heat bed and chamber heating along with the fans working great. The progress light is a cool new addition so you can easily see where you are in the build when the screen has gone dark. The Q2 held its own with ABS, so we look forward to more ABS builds with the Plus5 and the titanium nozzle. So far we've built a 3-piece larger sized armored vehicle (36 hours) and just some test builds including a 1L cube to see how it fared, and we were impressed. We look forward to this complimenting the Q2 enabling larger builds and use of technical filaments. Zero regrets with this slick machine!

Qidi Plus 5

The Qidi Plus 5 is the latest in my family of Qidi 3D printers! I exclusively buy Qidi 3D printers because of their quality and craftsmanship. If that's not enough, their tech support is beyond outstanding. I recently added the Qidi color box/heater to my Plus 4 for dedicated color printing. The new Plus 5 will stand in for the Plus 4's larger print area. My Q2C, less than a year old continues to perform flawlessly. If I could leave a 10 star review I would, but Qidi printers are all exceptional 5 star printers.

Best QIDI 3D Printer yet

This is my second QIDI printer and when I say The plus 5 is awesome it’s not lip service. I printed the poop tray with basic abs not setting changes and just some nano glue on the build plate. The results was a perfect print. No stringing so missed layers. It looks like I bought it from the store. It’s a great compliment to my 4. The best part about the printer is their customer service. Any times I’ve run into an issue (usually user error) they have already found the solution. I don’t know why you would by anything others then a QIDI!

I bought this model, and it works great. The only thing that makes this brand very subpart to others is the software. The QIDI software sucks! The model library is very limited, very buggy, and hard to navigate. If you are a first buyer, consider other brands with more time in the market, as they have way more chances to get creative.
